"You think Talia is behind all of this?"
"Yes I really do."
Bruce looked at me, obviously intrigued by my theory. "Explain then."
"Certainly." I flipped the bulletin board to face him. "My father was an assassin, the Upscale Assassin to be exact. I've never seen him pick up a sniper or an assault rifle. I've only ever seen him with a hand gun. Now," I pointed at Talia's picture, "she is highly trained in weaponry. Damian told me he's been training since he was 4 to be able to operate weaponry and defend himself. He also said that Charlotte reminded him a lot of his mother, her training to be more specific."
Bruce blinked a couple of times. "You think Talia and Levin are working together?"
"How else could you explain her randomly showing up with your son right after we figured out about BCRL?" I asked, crossing my arms. "No one in the city of Gotham has the kind of equipment to be able to construct something like what Levin is rebuilding. You need it from outside sources." I pointed at Talia's picture again. "She has access to the equipment Levin would need, at least to get started. Ra's al Ghul is dead, she supposedly left Damian here for his safety. However, Damian wasn't raised to be protected, he was raised to be a soldier." I bit the inside of my cheek. "He says that Charlotte and Levin don't see Maverick the way we do. They want to craft him into a soldier. I think Talia is trying to rebuild the league using Levin and Charlotte as guinea pigs."
"What if that's what the second contract detailed?" Bruce replied, furrowing his eyebrows.
I forgot about the second contract. My mother and I were supposed to be the ones dead, not Charlotte or Maverick. I looked at the pictures of my father and everyone else on the board. If this has been my father's true plan all along, why did it suddenly go into action now?
"It...would make sense." I replied, looking at Bruce. "Maybe we've been looking at this all wrong. We thought originally it was just my father and Levin working together. Damian told me that my father locked up Slade Wilson."
"He was supposed to be successor to the League of Assassins." Bruce stated.
"Until Damian came along...." I trailed off, looking back at the board. "The moldavite is supposed to go to the oldest daughter...." I mumbled.
"What?" Bruce asked.
"Tradition...It's all about tradition!" I exclaimed, grabbing my jacket off the back of a chair.
"Wha-Where are you going?" Bruce asked, a confused look on his face.
"I have to find my father's parents. I'm taking Jason with me!" I sped walk to the entrance of the batcave. "Don't wait up!"
I made my way as best I could up the batcave steps. All of this is now starting to make sense. BCRL was created by the League of Assassins, possibly after my father locked up Slade Wilson. The people used to create the casing only used it on Levin, the oldest living son of the Fischer family. None of the pictures had my father in them. There was also no proof it was ever used on them.
Then Levin had a daughter, Charlotte, who inherited the family heirloom. She's the family's oldest daughter and therefore a successor. Owen is the family's oldest son, granted he's my step brother, and he was executor to everything my father had. Since I was the youngest, I got nothing.
Then Charlotte had Maverick. He went completely unharmed during the attack and Owen even protected him. Since he's Levin's grandson, he would automatically become a successor. It made sense why my father set aside the $50,000 for him, it was probably a gift for when he rose to power.
The second contract was probably constructed by Talia and Levin. The League of Assassins isn't just for anyone, it's only for the best of the best. Charlotte is stronger than I am, especially now. Levin was stronger than my father and Owen is stronger than my father. I was trained to fight and defend, but I certainly am no soldier.
