Yeri's POV

I spent the next few days a lot with Jungkook since he was home. His wound was getting better and Doctor Park had told me how to do the dressing, so each morning before Jungkook went down to eat, I would clean his wound and change the dressing.

By now, I had memorized Jungkook's bare, perfectly toned body, yet each time he lay shirtless in front of me, I felt mesmerized; my breath taken away.

I sat in the living room reading the last few pages of the book that Jungkook had given to me, when I heard the double doors of the mansion open and then close.

Who could it be?

Nobody had access to the mansion but Jungkook himself. If someone entered the mansion then it meant that the guards had let them which meant that it was someone Jungkook knew.

And sure enough, the next moment I heard a familiar voice. When I turned around, Taehyung was standing near the entrance of the living room.

He was wearing a business-like attire and I wondered if he had come here straight from work.

He gave me a smile.

"Hello, Yeri. We meet again," he said and came towards me.

Bowing, he leaned in and took my hand in his and pressed a kiss to the top of it, making my heart flutter. His hand was soft and mine felt small in his bigger one. When he let go of my hand he stood straight.

"I'm here for Jungkook," suddenly the gentleman in his demeanor had all gone and was replaced by a very serious and all business-like Taehyung.

I gulped internally and made a mental note not to get on Taehyung's bad side because something told me he could be scary if angered.

"I was on a trip to the States. I got to know of Jungkook yesterday morning. As soon as my men had told me of his condition, I took a plane to Seoul."

"He is sleeping right now. Do you want me to wake him up for you?"

Taehyung shook his head.

"No, no, it's fine, I'll go to him myself."

I nodded and Taehyung left me alone once again.

I stared at the wall for a moment and then resumed reading the book in my hand.

Jungkook's POV

My eyes opened to the white ceiling of my room. I looked around. Yeri wasn't there. The sky was getting darker as evening approached and I took in the sight through my windows.

I sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I felt tried despite being home for so many days. I sat like that for a few minutes before I heard a knock on the door of my bedroom.

Wondering who it was, I told them to come in.

The door opened and in stepped Taehyung. I saw worry immediately take over his face when he saw me and was at my side in an instant.

"Jungkookie, what happened? I heard you got shot."

"It's nothing much, hyung. Shouldn't you be in the States right now?"

"You are more important to me than work," he said and sat on the bed.

Taehyung had been like a brother to me. He had helped me in so many ways and he was one of the very few people that I loved unconditionally.

After I had told them how I had got shot during a mission, he scolded me a little but then softened and hugged me and told me to take care of myself.

"Hyung?"
