Chapter 46

Yeri's POV

When I regained my senses I felt as if I had woken up after a lifetime. My head felt dizzy. And I couldn't feel my body at all. I wondered if my heart was beating.

Everything was a mess inside my head and I couldn't think straight. What added to my worse condition was the fact that I was blindfolded and tied somewhere.

I didn't know how long it had been when I heard a door open and then the sound of footsteps walking inside. It was surprising I could hear things.

I felt the person come closer and I remained very still.

The next moment I felt something prick my arm and then all went black.

I didn't know how much time had passed when I woke up next. This time I felt a little better than I had the last time. The cloudiness over my mind had lifted and I felt alive at last.

My wrists and ankles were tied to a wall with chains and it already hurt, my back pressed closely against it; the cold of the concrete wall seeping into my body.

Nostalgia.

My throat felt extremely dry and I would get a wave of dizziness wash over me once in a while.

Whatever I had been given was wearing off and it won't be long before my captors came here.

As if on cue, I heard the door open and heard footsteps enter.

This time it wasn't one person, rather I could make out the sounds of many footsteps.

I remained so still I forgot to breathe.

"Are we going to wait for her to wake up?" a male voice asked.

There was the shortest pause.

"This is Kim Yeri we are dealing with here. She is unlike any other person we have come across. We.... will talk to her," said another voice.

Arrogance laced his sinister voice and I suddenly felt the urge to punch his damn face.

I heard footsteps walk forward and a cold hand touched my cheek.

"Don't touch me," I spat at him.

I heard him laugh.

"See? What did I tell you? This is Kim Yeri we're talking about."

He chuckled darkly.

"So much for you and your boyfriend's strength. Look at you, rotting away here while he is halfway across the globe."

He laughed harder this time.

"What did you do to him?"

I gritted my teeth.

"Oh don't worry about him little girl. He is fine.... for now."

I heard myself let out a low growl from within my chest.

"Now, now, little Kim, have patience. I'm sure he must have figured out that you're kidnapped but he won't have a clue as to where you are right now."

He laughed.

"Truly pathetic. He's done so much to protect you and yet, here we are. Kim Yeri alone all by herself, while Jeon Jungkook has no idea what hit him."

The urge to punch this man and drive him to death slowly and miserably kept increasing with every word he said.

"Anyhow, I'm going to let these men remove your blindfold. We don't want you not to witness you and your boyfriend's downfall now," he spoke every word separately, dragging it along as if wanting to etch every single word into my mind.

I felt the shuffling of feet and then a cold, harsh hand grabbed my face roughly.

I felt one hand reach behind my head and then the blindfold slid down my face smoothly.

My eyes took a few minutes adjusting to the sudden light and finally when they had, my eyes fell onto the person standing in front of me. In one moment I felt my whole world shatter down upon my shoulders.

He stood tall in front of me, a sinister smirk plastered on his face above a satisfied expression.

"ITS YOU!" I shrieked in horror.

The smirk only widened.

"Yep," he said, popping the P. "It indeed is me."

He spread his arms wide and gave a loud laugh.

I wanted to stick a bullet right in his maniac head.

"Now that the greetings are done, I'll be going away for a bit," he said with a very cold smile that warned me against him.

He turned to his men.

"Well then, gents, have fun," he said as he walked out of the door with his men, leaving only two of them behind.
