Yeri's POV
Jungkook took me out after we had settled our belongings into the room.
He hired a cab to take us places instead of driving himself so that he could spend more time with me.
Or more like looking at me, I thought.
It had become his habit lately. He would stare at me as I would talk about something or even make the smallest of conversations. It made me feel warm inside.
He looked at me as if I held the world within the palms of my hands.
First of all, Jungkook took me to a snack bar since we had missed lunch and it was too late to be having lunch but too early to be having supper.
"I know a really nice hotel here. We'd go there to eat dinner tonight which is why I don't want to ruin your appetite by taking you to lunch," he said as we walked closer to the snack bar.
"Yeah," I nodded in agreement.
So, we bought and ate some light snacks, just enough to satisfy our hunger.
"This food is good," I told Jungkook with a mouthful as we strolled across the streets in the city.
I looked around and felt a sense of comfort and warmth within me.
All around us, people were walking along the streets, some going homes, others taking walks, others just enjoying the city, couples walking hand in hand, friends and families spending quality time together, some in restaurants, some on the streets, some just walking to nowhere but still knowing where they were.
As the sun started to set and night approached, the street lights were turn on and the city looked even more beautiful.
There were more people out now but still it didn't have the overwhelming sense of being crowded. Everything was just perfect.
Golden lights from the lamp posts and houses or different restaurants along our way fell on the pavement and that sight in itself felt so peaceful.
People seemed to mind their own business and go on about their own lives and the whole city felt as if was heaven on earth.
It was like no other place I had been to before. It was too different from the rest of the world and I couldn't help but admire it silently as well as verbally both.
Jungkook told me about the different places we went to and turned out there were many interesting stories, myths and facts about many places.
I didn't realize when it was that Jungkook's hand slipped into mine and his warmth touched me as well.
We walked side by side in the streets, smiling, talking, laughing - together. Being with him there felt too unreal and too perfect.
I closed my eyes and inhaled the clean, fresh air of the city. My lungs instantly felt cleaner and much freer.
We stopped at a jewellery stall since I wanted to get a souvenir of the traditional jewellery of Hawaii and cherish it forever.
The owner of the stall was an old lady who wore a kind smile on her wrinkled face. Upon seeing us, she stepped forward and said something to us from behind the stall.
We just smiled in returned since we couldn't understand her language and assumed it was probably a greeting.
"Do you speak English?" she asked.
At that she earned a nod from both of us.
Her smile was wide as she spoke her next words.
"What can I get for such a lovely young couple?"
