i just moved into my new apartment. i didn't unpack my bags yet so it was really messy in there. most of the bags were in my room while others were in the living room. i didn't want to unpack them since i was reading a book from my favorite author, joshua hong.

the book was called "the cave of secrets". it was about a 10-year old boy who just moved in with his grandparents near the mountains. one day, he went out to go and check out the mysterious cave nearby. he then soon finds out that the cave holds the secrets and answers that he'll soon need later on.

i already finished reading it before, so i'm just reading it again since it's my favorite book. joshua, always wrote amazing and unique books. they each had something in them that made you want to read more of it. none of the books were boring, even perfect for people who didn't like to read.

the most interesting part about joshua was his identity. even though he was a famous author, known worldwide for his amazing writing skill, his identity was unknown other than his name and gender. he was a mysterious person and the only author who didn't have much information on themselves, which made him stand out from the other authors.

i was about halfway through the book, almost near the part where he uncovers the secrets of the cave, when I heard the doorbell ring. I went to open the door, seeing a tall guy standing in front of me, holding flowers and chocolate.

"hi, how can I help you?"
"hi, i'm jisoo. i just wanted to give you this as a welcome gift since you just moved in."
he handed me the flowers and chocolate. they were even dark chocolate and roses, my favorites.

"thank you! i'm jeonghan"
"not a problem. i also live right above you so if you ever need anything, you can come to me."
"okay, i will."

3rd Person Pov

jisoo was about to leave until he saw the book that jeonghan was holding.

"is that a joshua hong book?"
"yeah. it's the cave of secrets."
"you like his books?"
"of course, i love his books. they're just so interesting! do you?"
"i've never really read them before, just heard of them."
jeonghan slowly nodded at every word jisoo said.

"do you want to come in?"
jeonghan shyly asked.
"sure."
jisoo took off his shoes, neatly putting them where the other shoes were.
"sorry that it's messy! i didn't unpack yet."
"it's fine. you just moved in."
he sat down on the couch.

"do you want anything to drink?"
"no, it's fine."
jeonghan took a seat next to jisoo.
they started talking about random stuff, mostly things to get to know the other more and jeonghan talking about how much he loves the books of joshua hong.

they continued talking for about an hour and a half before jisoo needed to leave.
"i'm sorry, i need to leave. i need ti finish some work."
he excused himself, heading to get his shoes. "it's fine. bye!"
"bye jeonghan!"

he headed out after putting on his shoes.
"i'm glad you love reading my books, yoon jeonghan!" he quietly whispered to himself, having the biggest smile on his face.

it has been a few months since jeonghan has moved into his new apartment. jisoo always visited jeonghan, the older enjoying his company. they slowly became friends, starting to get closer and closer each day.

they werw now in jisoo's apartment, it being the first time jeongham ever went inside. he was shocked to see the inside.

"jisoo, i thought you said that you didn't read joshua's books."
"i don't."
"then why do you have these?"
he pointed at the books underneath the table in the living room.

"i have them, i just don't read them."
jeonghan flipped through the pages of the book, shocked at what he saw when he looked at the front cover. he decided to look at the other books. all of them were the same.

"jisoo, how did you get these?"
"get what?"
"these!"
he showed the front cover of the books, containing the signature of joshua.
"these have joshua's signature! where did you get them?"
he was silent, not knowing what to tell jeonghan.

jeonghan has never seen or heard of a person that had joshua's signature in theur book. seeing this, made him feel jealous at jisoo.

"do you not want to tell me?"
he shook his head.
"it's fine, i won't force you."
"thank you, i'll tell you when i feel like it's right."
they continued to talk.

they were hanging out in jeonghan's apartment. jisoo finally had the courage to tell jeonghan his secret. his secret that he has been hiding for years.

"jeonghan?"
"what is it jisoo?"
"i finally decided to tell you my secret!"
"really?"
"yeah!"
jeonghan got excited. he couldn't wait, je wanted to hear what jisoo has been hiding.

"promise me that you won't freak out."
he held out his pinky.
"i promise."
they locked pinkies, sealing a promise.
"now, what is it that you needed to tell me?"

"you know that author that you love, joshua hong?"
"yeah, what about him?"
he took out books of the author.
"inside the cover. you might like soemthing there."
jeonghan carefully opened the book, checking it.

he put a hand on his mouth, covering it.
"h-how did you get these?"
they were signed books, all of the books.
"i'm quite close to him, too close that you might even say i'm him. an exact replica."
jeonghan thought of something before finally realizing.

"you're joshua?"
"yep!"
he recognized that line from one of his books.
"oh my god! i love your your books so much!"
"i know, that's why i signed these for you."
jeonghan was still in shock.

"i can't believe i'm friends with one of the best authors to ever exist!"
"stop! you're making me blush!"
he lightly hit him, covering his face, which was actually blushing.

"it's true though."
"aww, thank you. i really appreciate the fact that you read my books jeonghan."
"how could i not? they're so addicting!"
"thank you!"

"if you don't mind me asking, why do you keep your identity a secret? you even faked your name." why did he do all of that?

"i'm not entirely keeping it a secret. my english name is joshua hong while my korean is hong jisoo. i'm keeping my identity a secret because i want privacy. i don't want to reveal my face or any information besides my name to the internet."

"ohh! that's why!" he finally realized it. still, his face was shocked. who would have ever known that hi friend was his favorite and the best author to ever exist.

"cutie!" joshua whispered quietly. admiring his friends cute feminine features.
