IT ALL BEGAN WITH PEOPLE COMMENTING THE WORST JOKES OVER AND OVER THINKING THAT THEYRE SOOOOO FUNNY!!!! WELL IVE GOT NEWS FOR YOU, BUDDY, YOUR JOKES ARE AS STALE AS MY LOVE LIFE SO STEP OFF!!! I MEAN HONESTLY, DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY NOTIFICATIONS I GET WITH YOU THOTS COMMENTING SOMETHING LIKE "It all began with a... [INSERT STALE JOKE]?!?!" WELL THE ANSWER IS MANY! I GET SO MANY THAT I HAD TO LITERALLY GO THROUGH MY COMPLETED BOOKS TO WRITE THIS PART IN SO CONGRATS, EVERYONE!!! YOU OFFICIALLY BROKE ME!!!! ARE YOU HAPPY???? IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED?!!?!!???!!?

Chapter One

Friends (Part One)

I looked through the windows of the mall, the dark skies made me slightly unsettled as I awaited for my friends, were they late because of the bad weather? I heard from my parents that it was bound  to turn out worse later.

I looked up to see rain was beginning to pour down and finally decided to wait inside in the food court. As I picked out a seat and table, I pulled my phone out again, texting one of my friends.

"Hey, where are you?" I hit send.

Almost immediately, she responded, "I'm at home, why?"

I frowned as I decided not to text her again, her house was more than an hour away from this mall.

I stood up, ignoring the fact that she forgot today was my birthday and we had planned to come shopping all day for over a week now. I shook these feelings off, as I was here alone and my parents told me that they had a few errands to run in the city while I shopped. They would be back in two or so hours, they thought that would be enough time for me to get everything I needed and hang out with (friend's name).

I let out a sigh and looked around at all the stores, I'm sure that I'd be able to get what I needed alone.

I made my way towards a candy store first, because you know, I might get hungry while I'm looking at  clothes and toys and other things.

As I approached a self full of candy, a girl bumped into me, "Oh sorry!" She giggled as another girl approached her, "Be more careful, Maddie!" She scolded.

The girl who bumped into me had light brown hair and she had it up in a pony-tail, she had big brown eyes and glasses, while the other girl was slightly taller, she had dirty brown hair, green eyes and glasses.

"I told her I was sorry, Meghan!" Maddie defended.

Meghan rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she looked over at me, "Sorry about her, she can be..." She then burst out into laughter.

I tilted my head, "It's fine." I said, looking back at the candies before me. At least they had each other here, my friend totally forgot about me.

"Hey, are you alright, you look kind of sad!" Spoke Maddie as she looked over at me. My eyes widened as I looked over  at her, "Ugh, no! I'm fine, just.. Looking at the candy." I smiled as convincingly as I could but Maddie just frowned, "Nope, that's not it!" She spoke almost as if she was reading my mind.

Meghan put her hand on Maddie's shoulder, pulling her back slightly, "Just leave her, I'm sure she's upset that you're being so bothersome, now come on and let's get the candy and go back to the others." She spoke.

"But if she's upset and I can do something about it, but I leave, then I'm going to be upset!" Maddie complained.

Meghan let out a sigh as her green eyes met my (colour) eyes, "Do you want to tell us what's wrong?" She asked, "Sometimes it's easier to tell a stranger rather than a close friend." She added.
