Eyve made me leave.

Stuck up bastard.

Because Grace told him 'whenever she starts bleeding, you send her back' I had to go back to sleep and wake up again.

Not before he shoved a bunch of larva down my throat though. But it saved me from a few hours worth of hunting.

And it gave Jake and Neytiri some alone time, so nobody except Eyve was complaining. I'd make sure to see him tonight though.

When I sit up in the link, someone clears their throat in the doorway. My head snaps up to see Norm with his arms crossed over his chest.

For some reason, he was very serious about something. And i wanted to know what it was.
"What?" I ask, swinging my legs over the edge of the link. He raises his eyebrows expectantly. "I ripped a stitch." With that, I huff and stand up.

If all he wanted was to get on my nerves about why I was back early, he could fuck right off. "Not that, I don't care." Norm says, waving me off. "I found something out." My interest heightens. Even if this wasn't good, we'd come up with a way to stop it. "But you have to fix it, I can't."
Maybe I'm less interested now.

"Jake is talking with Quaritch. The intel he's been giving them? It's got worse." Norm starts biting on his fingernail and I take in a sharp breath.

I trusted Jake, Grace trusted him. And he was still speaking with the general? This couldn't be fucking happening.

He had made connections with the people, hell he almost loved one of them. The bastard was still speaking to him. What kind of asshole did that. I knew he was a marine, and that he probably would have chosen their side if it came down to it, but he made his place here.

That didn't mean he could throw it away.

"I need you to find out what Jake told him." Norm says, noticing my now confused state.

I didn't know what I was. I didn't know if I was confused or hurt or angry or embarrassed. But I knew I needed to do this.
No matter how confused or hurt or angry or embarrassed I was, I needed to warn the people. Even if it meant getting myself in trouble. Jake would do it at some point.
I knew that, his love had grown to strong for Pandora and the clan, but he'd warn them too late.
And I couldn't have that.

"Fine."

"Want to make a plan or...?" Norm asks, still anxiously trying to defuse whatever emotion I was experiencing.

"No, I'm doing it alone." I grit my teeth, subconsciously looking over to the link Jake was in.
I had to keep reminding myself; do not interrupt a link in progress, do not interrupt a link in progress.

But still, that red button was very tempting right now.

Immediately, I walk past Norm, striding towards the communication area. A few wires loosely hang and a radio rests on a shelf. I pick up the radio, taking a few deep breaths before clicking it on.

"Site 26 to Dodge. Come in."

After a few seconds, static appears followed by Max Patel's voice. "Site 26, I read you. Who am I talkin' to? Over." It was weird to hear Max's voice sound so formal.

"Anabelle. Can you put me through to Quaritch? Over." To be completely honest, I had no plan to what I was about to do, but it'd have to work.

I knew he'd respond, Quaritch was desperate and would try to talk to any one if it meant he got closer to money. Selfridge was the exact same, even if it meant killing women and children, families, he'd do anything for money.

"Sure thing Belle, one sec." Max responds. I hear a few buttons being clicked before complete silence comes through the radio. I start tapping my feet nervously. Now was the only opportunity I had to come up with something to say.

Norm was in the door, anxiously waiting and biting his lip. He seemed a lot more nervous than I was, and he wasn't doing shit. He had such little faith. I wouldn't fuck it up, I knew that much.
