Head first off a cliff.

Whilst I settle myself into the link and pull the frame over me, Grace hovers over me and whispers. "Please, try to keep Sully under control, I know you won't be interested in the plants so just focus on him." She practically pleads, she really cares about this environment.

The minute I saw an animal, I would be just as excited as Norm, at the minute, taking samples of leaves didn't exactly keep my on my toes.

"Sure." I smile at her kindly before shutting the lid to my link, she taps a few buttons on the screen and I shut my eyes, settling into my own mind. It doesn't take long before light starts to shine behind my eyelids, a real calm overtaking my body.

Then, the light grows stronger until it consumes me, and then goes completely dark.

My eyes flutter open and I'm in the same room I fell asleep in for the first time last time, that was something I had to get used to, falling asleep and waking up twice.

Taking a once over of the place, nobody else had linked yet, so I was free to do what I wanted- and the first thing that came to my mind, was to scare Norm and Jake. I swing my legs off of the bed, and walk carefully into shadows behind their beds which were next to my own.

Once I see them shuffle, I pinch my lips together in an attempt not to laugh and shuffle further into the dark barely three feet away from them.  Jake grunts as he swings himself into a sitting position, and Norm stretches his long limbs out over the mattress.

They both finally stand and looking around for me, noticing I was not in bed. When they least expect it, I pounce from the corner, yelling. Both of them jolt and Norm screeches, just like a little girl.

Jake however, widens his eyes and reels back with his fist in the air. He swings at me, his tail swishing like mad behind him, hitting the side of his thighs occasionally. Norm still screams beside him, he didn't really have time to do much else by the time Jake's blue fist connected with my cheekbone.

I grunt when I smack against the wooden floors from the momentum, cupping my face where he punched me. "What the fuck?!" I half-yell, half-laugh at him, spinning back to glare at him, but it didn't do a whole lot whilst I was trying not to cackle at Norm's reaction.

He had stopped screaming now, and Jake bent down to help me up, still breathing heavy. "You scared me!" He shoots daggers at me, with the same playful smirk on his face as he finally settles down.

"You punched me!" I shoot back, waving both of my hands at him when he pulls me to my feet.

"Yeah, because you scared me." He crosses his arms across his chest and Norm places his hand over his heart, pushing deep breaths through his mouth and I snort at him.

"It's been what- two days, and you've put a bruise on my avatar." We both stare at each other, daring the other to laugh first at this stupid situation. A loud cackle bursts from my lips, I start hunching over and cupping my belly as the laugh erupts from me.

He laughs as well, bearing his sharp teeth and shutting his eyes tight. It was probably the first time I'd seen him laugh like that since we'd met. I was hoping it wouldn't be the last considering it was a sight. He looked genuine, not with his guard up constantly like he is when he isn't in his avatar body.

He looks vulnerable.

Norm however, looked shit scared, he probably assumed we were going to start arguing, I wasn't really sure why we were laughing myself. Probably because of the awkward situation- that or because I scared the shit out of them. Which I was highly proud of, thank you very much.

"Ok, very funny, let's go." Grace appears from behind Jake, smiling just as wide, having seen the entire ordeal.

I clear my throat and giggle again at Norm's reaction, swiping across my cheek as a once-over. It hurt like a bitch, but didn't feel like a wound, so I grimaced and left it at that. "I'm going to change, I'll see you at the helicopter." I turn to everyone and wave them out before crouching in front of the crate at the bottom of my bed to dig for new clothes.

There was plenty in there, none of which was actually that comfortable, but I had to choose something because I was not about to go into the Pandora jungle in pyjamas.

I should've changed before sleeping just as Norm and Sully did. Too late now.

After digging out some tight camo jeans and a practically skin tight black tank top and hastily putting them on, I head out with my pack full of medical equipment, a camera and a notebook in case we do run into any wildlife. The only weapon I had on me was a knife with a serrated edge.
