"I was born into a family of architects; my own mother and father would travel, and I was to go with them everywhere. One day, they took on a project too big, and they soon were drowning in debt. They had to quit being architects for a bit and they took on small time jobs that paid very little since neither of them went to college.
Once day, my grandfather came over to our little home near a school and said that he found me a wife. I didn't want to marry, but looking back, they had money, so I had reluctantly agree. It was your mother. She was such a sweet girl before, but she grew greedy throughout our relationship, because I just couldn't find it in me to say no to her.
Once my grandfather had passed, he asked of me to at least have a child before I parted with M/n so our bloodline could continue, we did so and that's when Alhaitham came in. He was only four when my parents passed in a car accident, sadly little Y/n never got to meet my side of the family.
When M/n's father passed, it was up to me and G/n to take care of both of you since your mother just wouldn't settle down, and never had she even worked a day in her life. All she did was take all my hard-earned money and use it on herself or Alhaitham.
He deserved the best yes, but he needed to do it the hard way, so anything M/n had bought for him, although I didn't want to, I had hidden it all the next day from Haitham. I just didn't want my little boy spoiled like his mother and it seemed to work out.
One day M/n had found out, and she threatened me, if anyone had found out about her gambling away your childhood home, she would get people to hurt me and little Y/n. I couldn't let that happen, and anytime I tried to take Y/n away to G/n to stay safe, she would threaten me to harm herself or Al-Haitham.
So, I stayed with her until you two had left for college, I told her I wanted to divorce her, but she told me, that I can't and broke down in front of me saying I'm the only one left, and that G/n was going to die soon. I asked her what she meant by that and said that her mother was old and soon to die."
"And so I got greedy for us, and just stayed with her no matter how hard it was..." Raising his glass from the table, he took a swig of water as everyone just looked at him with wide eyes, and Yelan was digging her nails into the tablecloth on her lap. "So... If you left me with grandma, Alhaitham would've gotten... killed?"
F/n nodded solemnly, and glanced up at Y/n, "I never wanted you to grow up like that. I know it was harsh and terrible for you, and I apologize for never being there." Y/n scoffed and shook their head, "this doesn't make sense dad, why would she do any of that?"
F/n sighed as he rubbed his face, "You mother, she is and was spoiled, she would get her way no matter what and would have anyone and everyone else do the dirty work for her. No one would tell her no due to her connections, and I couldn't either or else things would have gotten bad for you kids and me."
Yelan stood up abruptly, and pulled out her phone, "I'll be making a few calls, there is much more than what meets the eye. I hope to take on this case..." she walked off from the table as Scaramouche reached under the table and took ahold of Y/n's hand giving them a small smile.
"So, you boys," Kaveh's and Scaramouche's head snapped to the sibling's father. "How did you guys meet my kids?" Scaramouche looked at the blond and urged him to go first, making him huff in annoyance.
"I've been friends with Alhaitham since middle school, I was a grade above him, and then we only recently became a couple," F/n turned to Alhaitham as his eyes darted away from his father's gaze. "And how come I never was told about your friends Al?"
"M/n wouldn't let me have friends, so I made one without her knowing... And plus she would talk about with me is school and my grades, so I never brought it up to either of you," F/n nodded with a smile before gesturing toward the boy with dark hair. "And you boy?"
Scaramouche froze up for a second feeling Y/n squeezing his hand, "I met Y/n... about a few months before high school graduation," he felt his throat tighten at the attention, "Sir, and then I only finally talked to them a day before graduation, and we barely began to date, uhm..." he took his phone and looked at the date. "We started dating about five months ago."
F/n nodded his head as he crossed his arms, "Where are staying now dad?" The man chuckled at his kid's question, "Don't worry about your old man, I have a friend who has been kindly offering up a bed at her place for a while now."
Y/n slammed their hands on the table in surprise and pointed at their father, "You have another woman!?" F/n shook his head with a smile, "Archons no," he waved his hands dismissively, "Y/n, your father doesn't like woman anymore since your mother," Y/n furrowed their eyebrows as their mouth opened in shock. "YOU"RE GAY?!?!"
The host that led the group in came from behind F/n crossing his arms, "Please no yelling, you're disrupting other guests," Y/n pointed at him, "Shut up Kaeya's brother, I just found out my dad is gay!"
