Ch. 22

After ring shopping with Kaveh for two hours, Y/n returned to their dorm with hardly any money in their pocket and near the dead of night. Feeling their phone buzz in their pocket they sighed before finishing out just as they were going to enter their dorm room. Taking a quick glance at the caller ID they raised a brow before answering.

"Haitham, what's up?" They could hear some moving around on the other line, "Yelan, she was able to get some other help with the case. And now we have a court date coming up soon. So, be sure to be ready and gather up any evidence against M/n because she would be going to be on trial."

Y/n felt their heart stop for a second, "So... She'll be out of our lives for good...?" Alhaitham hummed and Y/n let out a small laugh completely in disbelief as tears gathered in their eyes as they ran a hand through their hair. "Ah... That's such... such good news."

"Something finally being done after everything you went though is overwhelming, right?" Y/n sniffed a bit using their sleeve to wipe their face, "Yeah, it's a bit much. You stay safe alright?" Alhaitham let out a small chuckle, "You too Y/n. Goodnight," and with that the call ended and Y/n still couldn't phantom the fact that their mother would be going to jail.

Finally entering their apartment, they immediately went to their room as quietly as they could. They nearly jumped seeing their boyfriend sprawled out on their bed, his head raising as he lazily got up and took them in his arms ignoring the bags in their hand. "Miss you..." He mumbled into their shoulder.

They used their free hand to pat his back before burying their face into his shoulder before pulling away with a little grimace, "Have you been smoking?" His silence already gave them their answer and with a little sigh they guided him back to bed. "Are you hungry? I brought some food from dinner with Kaveh."

Scaramouche frowned at he reached over to grab the food and began to munch on the leftovers, "Why were you with him again?" Y/n reached over to pinch their boyfriend's cheek, "You're cute, but we were out shopping for a ring for Haitham. Kaveh plans on proposing soon, I'm not entirely sure, but most likely after this whole situation dies down."

The male lightly slapped away their hand, "I'm going to play some games, do you want to join me?" He hummed at their question, "How would I join you when you only have enough space for one chair in here?" Y/n got up and went over to their chair, pulling it a bit from the desk and sat down before spinning around in the chair with a teasing smile before patting their lap.

"My lap is always available as a seat," Scaramouche could feel his cheeks turn pink; even with the highness to make him more confident, he will never fail to be flustered by his darling. Getting up from his place from the bed, he went over to them and climbed on their lap facing them, burying his face into their shoulder.

"Hm, how did your day go?" Reaching over to turn on the pc and then the monitor and then their controller since they knew they wouldn't be able to play with their keyboard with their boyfriend sitting on their lap. "I got yelled at by one of my professors, then I tripped going to go grab lunch in the cafeteria, it was embarrassing."

"Why did you get yelled at Kuni?" Nothing came from the boy, so Y/n moved their hand to pinch his side softly. "Raiden Kunikuzushi, why aren't you telling me?" The male whined pathetically. "Because it's stupid! And really fucking embarrassing, I'd rather you not know, so can we not talk about it?"

Y/n clicked their tongue a bit annoyed by his lack of response cause now they were curious. "Fine," they muttered and reached up to pull his hair and pressed a kiss to his lips roughly making him whine against them. "Now, be a good boy and don't distract me so much, okay?" Their boyfriend nodded a bit dazed before burying his face back into their shoulder.
