OUTSIDE SNAPE'S CLASSROOM

SNAPE'S POV

I cleared my throat, and she looked up.

"Finally.." I rolled my eyes and began walking up the stairs.

I walked towards the far corridor and heard her walking behind me. We reached another empty corridor. I looked around and saw no one. I didn't want to stand there and give her the opportunity of doing something stupid so I walked out of the castle. I could hear her walking and whistling.

Merlin save me, this girl is annoying. If she were a student, she would've been gone already.

I walked around just for the sake of making it look like I was patrolling. As we walked in silence, I tried to get some things off my mind, but failed to.

"What do you like to do when you're alone?" Barlow asked, interrupting my peacefulness.

"I like to be alone and do nothing." I said dully. I kept walking, trying to make her stop asking questions. We went all around the outside of the campus and we were close to the entrance. I tried to reach for the door but I was stopped by Barlow.

"Do you think we could talk a bit more?"

I looked at her and saw her eyes no longer showed lust but were sad. I sighed.

"What do you want to talk about?" I responded, dully.

"I..I wanted to apologise first..for what I did.." Barlow responded quickly.

I turned my whole body to her and raised an eyebrow.

"Apologise for your idiotic and immature actions towards me?"

She looked disappointed and embarrassed. I loved to make some people regret their stupid actions very badly. I loved to intimidate them.

"Yea.." She whispered.

I walked closer to her.

"Listen closely, Barlow. I do not wish to have a 'friendship' with you. I wish to talk to you only when needed. So if you wish to see me less angry than usual, I suggest you go look for friends elsewhere. Do I make myself clear?" I said, not breaking eye contact.

She gulped and nodded.

"Good. Now go inform Dumbledore that no students were found outside the castle." I didn't wait for an answer and walked inside.

I decided that it would be nice and cruel of me to pay Lupin a small visit. I smirked and walked towards his class. I knew very well all the corridors and paths to every place at Hogwarts. When I got to his class, I didn't bother knocking. I burst the door open to find him sitting at his desk, writing. His face quickly shot up and looked at me. His face quickly looked angry and looked back down.

"Can I help you, Severus?" Lupin asked, annoyed.

I walked in and closed the door. I walked towards his desk and stood in front of him. He didn't bother looking up and kept writing.

"I came here to clarify a concept that has been left unclear." I said, trying to intimidate him.

"I have to be honest; I don't know what you're talking about." Lupin responded, rolling up what seemed as a note.

I grunted and placed my hands onto his desk.

"This is about Evelyn." I said, knowing that would get his attention.

Lupin looked up, worried.

"Did something happen to her?" He asked me.

"No. I brought her up because I wanted to let you know that she is under my care and supervision. You are not to be anywhere close to her. If I do I will make sure, you will never-"

"Yes yes, Severus. I'm pretty sure you made that clear that day on the train." He stood up and looked at me. I was slightly taller than him but he showed no fear.

"Good and if you are to assume something and spread rumours, I'll have you fired immediately."

"Severus.." Lupin started.

I raised an eyebrow and folded my arms.

"Is there something developing between you and Evelyn?"

"No! I am just concerned for her well-being, just like any other professor would be. I have observed her over the years and every year she seems lonelier and lonelier. So I have just..be-friended her to make her feel a bit better." I responded, trying not to blow my cover.

"Ok..as long as I don't see anything..inappropriate..I will not interfere with you and her again." Lupin responded and began walking around his desk.

I only nodded and walked towards the door.

"Thank you." I managed to say, while gritting my teeth. A smile appeared on his face and waved. I walked out and made my way back to the dungeons.

That went totally different from what I had in mind..

I walked slowly down the corridor. It was warmer than the temperature from the dungeons. I did enjoy feeling a bit warmer, but I had gotten used to the cold classroom.

I walked down the stairs that lead to the dungeons and saw a couple of students at my classroom door.

Merlin..these dunderheads are always complaining.

I walked to the door and looked at the students.

"Can I help you?" I asked, clearly annoyed.

One of the boys, around 5 or 6 year, stepped forward.

"We were walking by the classroom and heard 2 people arguing in there and the next thing we see is someone run out." He pointed inside.

"Leave." I said, immediately running inside after.

I didn't see anyone and continued to unlock my personal quarters. I opened the door. My eyes grew wide, and I felt heavy. I saw Evelyn. I slammed the door shut and saw her laying on the floor. I ran to her and fell to my knees. I placed my hand on her cheek, then to her neck. She was close to dying. Her skin was colder than my own. I lifted her up and began running towards the hospital wing.
