WEEKS LATER

A couple of weeks went by and soon it was finally exams. I was so busy thinking about how I could possibly talk to Severus more, but it was useless, he would just probably refuse to talk to me so we wouldn't get into even more trouble.

I was also busy thinking about Summer. It was close to the end of the year. I had no plans. I didn't want to go back home since my mum would notice something was off with me. I didn't feel like seeing my disgusting father either.

I walked to my dorm and sat there, completely overwhelmed.

Maybe I could go to Remus...he probably is bored right now. I could even ask him if he would be willing to let me stay with him.

I jolted up from my bed and ran out the door.

I have been so busy thinking of Severus, I completely forgot about Remus..I'm so stupid..

I reached his classroom and knocked. I saw Remus open the door. His face lit up.

"Evelyn. Come in." He moved from the door.

I walked inside and stood there.

"Join me in my office, I am doing...something in there..."

"Ok." We both walked to the back and into his office. When I walked in, I saw a bag and luggage.

He must be packing to go back home too..

I stood close to the window.

"I've missed talking to you Evelyn...What's wrong? You haven't spoken to me in..what 2 months..I need to know.."

I looked away from the window and straight at him.

"Sev..and I..were caught.." I whispered.

His eyes grew wide, and he walked over to hug me.

"Aww, Evelyn, I'm sorry.. I promise I didn't tell ANYONE."

"I know.." I sobbed.

"McGonagall caught us...right in between a kiss..."

Remus sighed loudly as he held me.

"Well, it happened around a month ago. Since then, Dumbledore told us that we had to stay away from each other as punishment or else he would go to Azkaban.."

"God..Evelyn, I'm so sorry.."

"I'm sorry if I haven't been talking to you as much as I used to, but that was the reason why. I feel so..dead inside like I miss him so much." I began to sob into his chest.

"It's ok Evelyn..breathe.." Remus whispered.

My arms wrapped around his back, hugging him tightly. He was the only thing I had left.

"Well, let's drink some coffee and watch a movie or something..like that idea..it might relax you.." Remus asked.

"Ok.." I whispered.

He pulled away a bit and grabbed my hand. Remus smiled and led me to the kitchen.

"I'll prepare coffee, meanwhile you can go into my room and find something comfortable to wear."

"Something your's?"

"If you want, if you're comfortable with what you're wearing then stay like that.."

I nodded and made my way to his room. I looked through his closet and found a fluffy cotton sweater. It was brown just like the rest of his clothes. I slipped it on and removed my shoes. I walked over to the bed and sat down. It reminded me of when I would visit Severus and spend the night..

I shook my head, attempting to get rid of those thoughts. I sat against the wooden frame of the bed and pulled the blanket close to me. I saw Remus walking slowly towards me.

"Here is your coffee." He slowly handed it to me, trying to not spill it. I grabbed it and placed it on the bedside table.

"It's hot, be careful." Remus said, quietly.

He placed his coffee on the other table. Remus sat down and removed his shoes. He moved closer to me.

"Want to watch a movie?"

"Sure."

"Which one?"

"I don't really mind, whatever you want."

"Alright."

Remus flicked his wand and a movie began playing. I took my mug and took a sip, being careful for it was hot. Remus took out a wrapper.

"Chocolate?"

I giggled and reached for a piece.

"I always find it funny how you pull random bars of chocolate.."

"Well, I do love chocolate, it usually helps people feel better."

I placed the piece of chocolate in my mouth. The movie played as I got more comfort against Remus. He placed his arms around me and stroked my hair. Memories of Severus holding me ran through my head. I felt a tear escape my eye.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing..just..you holding me like this reminds me..of him.."

"Well..if it'll help you sleep..then imagine Severus holding you.."

I closed my eyes and began to imagine Severus holding me, stroking my hair, his chest rising and falling..

I began to drift into a deep sleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

I felt a warm bright light hit my face. I blinked and saw the sunlight was coming through the window. I groaned and turned around. I felt someone else was still next to me. I lifted my face up a bit and saw Remus sleeping, his arms everywhere. I giggled and lay back down, planting my face into the pillow.

I felt him move around and groan.

"That damn light." He whispered.

I lifted my face up and smiled at him.

"You're awake?" Remus asked, a bit shocked.

"Yea, the light.." I said.

We both giggled and I laid on my back.

"Thank you Remus, I haven't had a good sleep in a while. I mostly spend the nights crying.."

"Oh Evelyn, anytime. I am here to help you.." Remus moved closer to me and played with my hair.

"I also had another question.."

"Sure, ask away."

"I was wondering if I could live with you..I need a place to stay in the summer..

"Of course. I'd love to have you around for the summer. Don't you have your parents?"

"I do but my mum will definitely see that something is wrong with me, and I don't even want to think about that man.."

"Ohhh, right. Well yea I have no problem with you staying with me."

I smiled and yawned.

"Thanks..I'll just let my mum know and she'll be fine."

"Ok, well today's Sunday, let's enjoy the day because starting Monday, you have final exams..."

I groaned in annoyance.

"I knowwww, I don't need to remember that right now. I want to enjoy my last Sunday.."

We spent the day reading, laughing and cooking. Honestly Remus knows nothing about cooking, like I mean nothing. This man put a literal glass bowl on the stove. Like sir, that's what a pot or pan is for. Almost burned down the kitchen. We also read to each other, and I helped him clean. We spent the day very wisely. I left his classroom, very happy and relaxed, knowing he was still there for me.
