Me: Yeah. Would his personality become overtaken by the SOUL since he doesn't have his own?
FireladyofInk: I don't know what you're talking about, he *absolutely* has a personality. (Joking, I know what you mean.)
Me: From the paints. But once the paints drain from his system the SOUL would overtake.
FireladyofInk: Technically that would be allowing two separate consciousnesses to exist in one body, but they can only switch control based on outside circumstances.
And that's how the idea came to be.
