When All The Lights Go Out

Chapter 7

The next day is Heeseung's day off. But he wakes up at around 7 am, as he is used to wake up early everyday. He stays in bed not wanting to get up, as he goes through his phone, scrolling through his many notes. He gets bored in bed so he decides to go downstairs. As he passes by Emma's room, he slowly opens the door to see her sleeping. He smiles as he quietly leaves in order not to wake her up. He then goes to the bathroom quietly, in order to get ready and then heads downstairs. As he goes to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, he recalls Emma's nightmare the night before. He really wonders what's going on but he decides to wait for Emma to tell him herself. Having nothing else to do, he decides to prepare breakfast for the both of them. 

In the meantime, Emma wakes up as well, checking at the digital clock beside her and groans as it's still early. She stays in bed, looking at the ceiling, too lazy to get out of it, as she gives herself time to wake up properly. Images of Heeseung is running through her mind as she smiles thinking about him. She then decides to wake up, since she needs to make breakfast. She gets ready for the day as she puts on some comfortable clothes and goes downstairs. As she enters the kitchen, she stops as she sees at the table full. Pancakes, french toast, fresh coffee, and everything else anyone can imagine. She is stunned as she looks at Heeseung who is smiling at her. "Good morning" she says with an amused face as she sits down. "Good morning" she says clearly awestruck by the view in the table. "You made all this?" she says still in shock, as she sits down. Heeseung chuckles, nodding as he takes his seat across from her. "Yup, I did. Come on let's eat" he says as he takes a bite of the pancakes.

Emma stays there staring at him feeling her heart flutter. She can't believe how nice Heeseung is. She doesn't realize she is staring at him until their eyes meet. "Is everything ok?" Heeseung asks her as she snaps out of her thoughts, her face turning red. "Yeah, everything is fine don't worry" she says as she quikly starts eating. Heeseung looks at her, a small smile appears on his face, but he doesn't say anything else as they both continue with their breakfast. "So, what's the plan for today?" Emma says after they finish eating, placing the dirty dishes and cups in the sink. "Oh um, to be honest I don't know. I really don't do much when I am home, I usually get some work done or watch tv. I don't have many hobbies" Heeseung laughs. "But maybe you can help me with that" he then says as Emma looks at him dumbfounded. "Do you want me to suggest you hobbies?" she laughs, trying to ignore her thoughts. "Yeah, sure. What do you usually do in your free time?" Heeseung says as he pats the sit next to him for her.

"Well, it really depends on what mood I am in. For example, if I am sad or moody, I usually stay in bed and listen to sad music because it makes me feel better at some point. When I am angry or frustuated with something, I usually get caught up with chores or anything related to work to keep my mind off. I don't have many hobbies to be honest either" Emma says as she laughs looking at Heeseung. They stay in silent looking at each other as they burst out laughing. "Sorry, I know this didn't help" she says between her laugh. "From what I see, I think we both need to get some hobbies" Heeseung states as Emma nods laughing. "How about we start today?" Heeseung says. "What, for real?" Emma laughs as he nods. "Why not? We don't have much to do today anyway, so" Heeseung says as he gets up and goes to the living room with Emma following. "So, what should we do?" she asks as they sit on the couch, she on the arm. "How about we go for a walk and then grab something to eat? It's a beautiful day, it would be a shame to spend it at home. Plus this is one of my chances to not be in the company, I am starting to get sick of the place" Heeseung laughs as Emma nods. "Sure thing. Just give me ten minuted to get ready real quick" Emma says as she rushes upstairs excitedly. Heeseung chuckles finding her cute as he also decides to change in more comfortable clothes.

Meanwhile Emma, opens the closet to find some cute clothes to wear. She know it doesn't matter, but deep down she wants Heeseung to notice her somehow. She goes quickly through everything she has and she decides to go with a pair of black jeans and a blue t-shirt with a cute white jacket. She then puts on her sneakers as she goes downstairs to find Heeseung. As she enters the living room she stops in her tracks as she looks at Heeseung. He looks so different wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. Heeseung raises his head to look at Emma and they both stay like this staring at each other for a while, neither of them knowing what to say. "Wow" Heeseung says trying to find the right words. "You look, adorable" he says as he smiles widely. Emma blushes as she gives him a smile. "Thanks. You look good too. I mean, it's the first time I am seeing you wearing clothes other than a suit" she says as they laugh. "Yeah you are right" Heeseung says as he grabs his keys. "Let's go" he says as he opens the door for Emma. She smiles at his gesture as they both step out with Heeseung locking behind them.

"So, what do you wanna do?" he asks Emma as they start walking down the road. "I don't have something specific in my mind to be honest" Emma says. "We can just walk around or something" she says as she looks at Heeseung with a smile. "Sure, why not. But if you get tired tell me so we can return ok?" Heeseung says as she nods. "I promise" Emma says as the continue walking down the road.
