Emma looks at him stunned. HE asks ME out on a date? As she tries to process the information she doesn't realize Heeseung coming closer to her. She looks at him with an amused face as she smiles. "O-of course, yes!" she says excitedly. Heeseung smiles at her adorable reaction as he wraps his hands around her. "You were really nervous to ask me that, weren't you" Emma says as she giggles. Heeseung laughs as he slowly breaks their hug. "Was I that obvious?" he says as he scratches the back of his head nervously. Emma nods with a smile. "It's ok tho. I find it cute" she says making him blush a little. "I don't know the proper way to ask someone out" Heeseung admits as Emma laughs. "You've never done this before? I don't believe that, I am sure you had many interactions like this" she says as she takes care of some things around the kitchen.
"It's true tho" Heeseung laughs as he follows her. "You may think that I was the heart throb of the school and that I also was that cool kid that was pretty famous and had all the girls around him. Well the truth is, I was never a fan of this whole popular kid thing. I wasn't very popular back then since I was an introvert, and still am, so it was really hard for me to even go talk to a girl. My friends were teasing me all the time for it" he says laughing. "For real? You weren't the heart throb of your school?" Emma teases him as Heeseung looks at her. "Just kidding" she says. "I just thought you would be the complete opposite. You know like being the bad boy and stuff like that" Emma says as she smiles. Heeseung smiles as he looks into her eyes. "Well, my introvert self didn't allow this back then" Heeseung says. Emma looks at him, her big eyes shining as she admires his face. "I was never a big fan of attention. I never seeked for it. And I don't regret it honestly" Heeseung laughs.
Emma listens to him as she smiles again. Heeseung reminds her of herself a few years back. After her breakup she shut down her feelings and didn't talk to anyone for weeks. She knows what Heeseung went through, she knows what is like to just sit in a corner and observe everyone around you without making a single interaction. Emma doesn't want history to repeat itself. She wants to break that cycle, she wants to start fresh. And she wants to do it with him by her her side.
"So, any ideas where should we go?" Heeseung says as she looks at her. Emma pauses as she tries to come up with a good idea. "Well, since we both hate the attention how about we stay home? We don't have to be basic and go in some park or whatever for first date. I find it a bit cliché you know, to go all out for a first date. I like simple things" she says as she tries to hide a smile. Heeseung smiles as he nods, not wanting to pressure her in any way since she is not ready. He understands and respects her boundaries and he wants to make her feel safe and loved around him. He doesn't want to push her away, he wants her to be by his side. And he's willing to do anything to make it happen.
