Emma wakes up as she turns around to look at the empty bed. She checks the time and it's already 9am, so she assumes Heeseung has left for the office already. She lazily gets up as she goes to take a shower and get ready for the day. As she lets the water drop at her skin she recalls the night before. God, how she wishes for those nightmares to end. After getting ready, she goes to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast.
As she eats, she scrolls through her phone to kill time. Having nothing better to do, she decides to take a quick shower before starting her day. After she gets ready, she checks the list Heeseung gave her for the upcoming event. "I have a lot to do" she says as she checks what's in it. Many preparations, from the decoration to the food, many ingredients needed. She first goes to the kitchen to check what she needs and she finds out she needs quite a lot. Vegetables, meat, different kind of sauces both salty and sweet, and other small things for treats and of course a whole other list for the desserts. She doesn't let the big amount of ingredients to discourage her as she decides to go to the store right away.
*Time Skip*
Emma goes through the many things in the store as she checks her list at the same time. She starts picking some already packed things from the counters as she deletes some of them. She stops for a moment as she feels someone watching her. She doesn't turn around tho and she continuous to walk casually like nothing had happened. She hears the foot steps getting closer and she quickly turms to another alley, hoping the person will lose her. She stops to catch her breath as she stays hidden for some time. She smiles akwardly to the stuff who looks at her concerned. "Can I help you ma'am?" a kind lady approaches her as Emma flinches. "N-no, thank you. Everything is fine" she forces a smile as she goes back to leave. She finally goes to the cashier to pay and leaves in a hurry but not before turning around to see if someone is behind her. When she sees nobody, she turns to leave. "What the hell was that. Am I being paranoid or something?" she says to herself, as she quickly goes back home.As she enters the house, she finds all the lights empty, meaning that Heeseung isn't home yet. She sighs as she goes to the kitchen to leave the groceries on the counter. Still shaken from the incident she decides to begin with the preparations right away to distract herself from thinking about it. She is not sure if she should tell Heeseung about it, since she doesn't wanna stress him out. She decides against it as she goes to take a shower to calm down.
Later that night, Emma sits on the bed reading a book when she hears the door unlocking. She lets out a sigh of relief as she checks the time. 2:45 am. She gets up as she goes downstairs. She notices that the kitchen light is on, so she goes there. "Heeseung?" she says as she faces his back. Heeseung turns around a bit startled he didn't expect her to be up this late. "Are you not asleep yet?" he asks her as he comes closer to her. "No. I can't sleep without knowing you are home, I am worried at night" Emma explains as Heeseung smiles. "You don't have to sacrifice your sleep for me, I am alright" he answers as he embraces her in his arms. "Are you ok?" he asks as he looks at her and Emma stops before answering. She still isn't sure about telling him what happened earlier when she was out. But once again, she hides it. "Yeah, everything is fine. I went shopping today. I even started to prepare for the event, so you don't have to worry about that" she says with a smile. "That's good to hear. Remember I don't want you to pressure. You are gonna do great, I am sure of it" Heeseung says as they walk back together to their bedrooms. "Remeber to get a good sleep today ok? And if anything happens, you know just come and tell me" Heeseung says looking at Emma, as he recalls her nightmares. "Thanks. Goodnight" "Goodnight".
