As You and BF/N walked through the city you couldn't help but think of your father..you felt so guilty.
You wished you could give him one last hug or at least gotten the chance to say goodbye to him.
Suddenly gun shots and the screeching of tyres got your attention and BF/Ns.
A black car with eyes zoomed around the corner at the front was a monkey in the front passenger seat was an eight ball and in the back was a guy made out of casino chips..
But what caught your glance as the car zoomed by was the driver.. a mug..and in the back with the chip guy who was shooting was Him! He was holding a bag of cash! With dollar signs in his eyes.
They sped passed as the police chased them.
"Holy smokes Y/N..I think that was..was that him?"
"Yes..it was.."
BF/N whistled.
"You gotcha self a bad boy!~"
You blushed up but rolled your eyes at her a little.
"I hope they don't get caught that would suck"
You nodded.
"Yeah it would.."
You both stopped by cafes and shops to hang out but all you could think of was your dad..
After a few hours you went your seperate ways back to your homes but you wanted time to yourself and as your mum wasn't home yet you decided to go and sit with quadratus.
Walking through the woods with your hands in the pockets of your hoodie you eventually made it to the rhyming face in water.
You sat yourself down and sighed.
"Hi quadratus"
"Hello how do you do? It has been a while since I've seen you"
"I know..alot has been going on that's all"
"What's been going on will soon be gone so why not remove its thorn?"
"Because..it's mostly grief.."
"Grief is brief let go and it will be a relief"
"But..I can't....and I imprinted..I found my mate..a cup..but I'm to scared to talk to him.."
"A cup you say what luck!"

"Look behind and clear your mind!"
You looked behind you and your heart froze the cup and mug were coming this way! They were talking and were out of uniform with a bottle of alcohol.
"Oh no..no no no no"
The mug noticed you and nudged his brother who looked over at you to.
"I have to go.."
"Leaving wouldn't be achieving it would be deceiving"
"Hey there!"
"Hi!"
You looked back over at the cup and mug and stood up backing off as they were closer now.
"Your the birthday girl from the casino!"
"What birthday girl from the casino?" The mug asked..
The cup recognised you....
Your heart rate picked up.
Run.
You bolted.
"Hey wait up!"
"Cuphead where are you going?"
You ran through the forest dodging trees and logs you looked back they hadn't followed at least you didn't see them..
Looking back was a mistake as you tripped over a root and fell over.
You grunted and got up looking down at your leg you were fine just a minor cut.
You looked back again but noone was there still.. you sighed in relief but froze when the cup came out of the bushes and spotted you.
"Hey! Are you okay? Why did you run off?"
You backed off when he got closer.
"Relax..I'm not going to hurt you..are you okay?"
He gestured to your leg you looked at it then at him but nodded.
"How did you know about quadratus?"
There was a lump in your throught....you couldn't speak....
"Okay..how bout this..my Names cuphead"
Cuphead?..where did you recognise.......the gravestone!
"Y/-Y/N"
he nodded.
"Nice to officially meet you..now I don't have to call you birthday girl heh"
You smiled a little.
"Why did you run away?"
"I..was scared..I.. get scared alot.."
He smiled a little.
"That's okay it's alright to be scared..why don't you come and hang out with me and mugs? Have a drink?"
"I would love to..but ..I should get back to my mother..she probably needs me'
"Needs you?"
"We..uh..just..my dad just died so.."
"Oh..oh fuck I am so sorry.."
"It's okay..it wasnt your fault.."
"Can I walk you home then?"
"Uhh I...sure?..o-okay?.."
"I know it's awkward but I uh feel bad for scaring you off"
He rubbed the back of his head where his handle was with a nervous smile..
It was kind of cute..
"Ehm! Anyway heh shall we?"
He leant his hand out..you looked at it then at him.
He was smiling so gently so lovingly..maybe BF/N was right..
You slowly.. gently.. took his hand he closed his hand around yours...
He rubbed his thumb across your hand gently making you blush but clear your throught a bit.
"What about your brother?"
"He can wait a few minutes"
So you and the cup walked in the direction of your home when you arrived you stopped.
"This is me.."
"Oh cool I uh do you want me to knock on the door or?.."
The front door opened..your mum..
"Y/N!"
"I guess not heh.."
You let go of the cups hand as your mum hugged you.
"Are you okay? Where have you been?"
She pulled away and inspected you.
"I'm okay mum.."
Your mum looked at the cup.
"Oh hello your the cup from the casino!"
"Uh yeah..just walking her home..I better go my brothers waiting for me..are you alright here?"
He looked at you.
You nodded.
"See you later then"
You nodded.
"S-see you later"
He smiled and walked off you turned and watched him go back into the woods as you went into the house with your mum.
