The nightmares were getting worse and Albus could feel something building up inside of him.
Was it darkness wanting to kill anyone who wanted to hurt his family and friends? He didn't know but he didn't like it.
He wanted the best for his family and friends and he'd do anything for them but he promised his father that he would never go down that path.

It was almost the end of the 2nd year and Albus had been alone in the Restricted Section of the library with the Head Master's permission this time and he had a lot to look up when it came to this somewhat of a war.
Harry had walked down to the steps to join Albus and handed him some lunch with some pumpkin juice.
"Thanks.." Albus looked up and smiled biting his lip and went back to reading the book he found in the Scriptorium close to the Slytherin Common room entrance.
"What did you find so far?" Harry asked and Albus shook his head "Dark magic is the answer." He chuckled and bit his lip closing his eyes.
"You know.. darkness isn't always dark in the end, right?" He looked at his father who shivered to the idea of his own son wanting to use the dark magic.
Harry knew this was a risk and anything could go wrong, especially with Albus and his anger issues he had a while back while his parents went away and he had to stay in school.
"Albus.. dark magic is dangerous and most of the time, people kill for more power. You're young and I'm not losing you like I lost your grandparents."
Albus slammed down the book and looked up at Harry "that's not fair! You barely knew them. Didn't they die when you were just a baby?"
Harry's face went serious and Albus went quiet and bit his lip feeling bad for his words
"S..sorry.. I just.. I want to save the world, and I know it's dangerous but don't you think they're going to try to kill us either way? We have to learn these now or we lose another family member or friend." Albus looked down and closed the book, Harry putting his hand on the book looking at his son
"We will not lose anyone else.. the vision was true but honestly Draco has dealt with worse than losing a woman.." he chuckled and sighed
"What do you mean?" Albus raised a brow asking what his father meant and Harry shook his head
"We have both lost ourselves to the dark side of the wizard world.. I almost killed him because I was angry. This book isn't the first of dark magic where your mother saved me from going down that path." Harry bit his lip thinking of the time he and Ron fought over a potion book his 6th year. He looked up toward the entrance as he heard Molly Weasley.
"It's getting later Potters. We need to close down for the night. Please leave the book here." She said and Albus looked down at the book but sighed nodding.
The boys left the Restricted Section and Molly sent the book to another shelf so Albus was not tempted by darkness.
As she walked out, she looked at Albus "why don't you meet everyone in the great hall for dinner? Harry you and I need to talk."
Harry smiled as Albus hugged his father and joined his classmates.

"I put the book in a different part of the Restricted Section." Molly spoke quietly and Harry nodded. "He's falling into the same path I did. It's dangerous and he's not even a 3rd year yet.. what do I do?" Harry asked and Molly sighed shaking her head "I have told my boys and Ginny that if temptation takes over any time at all in their life.. learn from the consequences. Albus has no hate and hasn't seen death yet, he has no reason to kill or use that dark magic." She said and Harry sighed but nodded somewhat assured that his son was going to be okay.

After dinner Albus walked up to the common rooms. He bit his lip and had snuck the real dark magic book through a spell and he smirked saying in bed until everyone joined him in the room.
"There you are Alb! I was looking for you. Where did you go after supper?" Scorpius asked and Albus shook his head " these headaches have been driving me crazy. You know me, I like my sleep."
Scorpius nodded and tilted his head
"Is that the magic book from the Restricted Sect—" his mouth was instantly covered and Albus told him to be quiet.
"The photographs hear everything, but yes. I was able to sneak it out when Professor Weasley wasn't looking. I want to train and be ready for anything. Dark magic is the only way we'll survive." Albus' tone had changed and he had a dark look on his face.
"Alb you're scaring me.. please don't you dare go down that path and hurt someone. With dark magic you have to mean it. Why not put it back and we can find some other training books?"
Scorpius suggested and looked at the moon where it was darker than usual.
"Scorpius I know what I'm doing. We haven't even finished our second year and if I can be done with these assholes I—" he was stopped as Scorpius hugged him tightly. "I'm not letting you end up in Azkaban like my grandfather did." He sighed and pulled away, Albus nodded knowing he was right. "Damn it.. I just wanna do something right."
"And we will, but this isn't the way.." he took the book from Albus who leaned back into his chair
"I'll give the book to the headmaster, she'll forgive you more than your dad will."
Albus nodded and looked at the skies through the stained glass window.
"Killing is not an answer Alb.. don't even think about it." Scorpius said as he left.
