The nightmares were getting worse. Albus had one where he woke up screaming in pain and Scorpius hugged him so tight, Albus could no longer feel emotion. He was numb where he was no longer afraid of his own death. He knew death was inevitable, it didn't matter if it was his family and friends or just some stranger in the muggle world. The world was going to Hell and there was nothing could be done.
Albus had gone to the headmaster about the nightmares and she summoned Harry and one of his best friends he worked with as an Auror.
"What are these nightmares, Albus?" A friend of Alastair "Mad eye" Moody asked as he sat there talking with Albus. This felt like therapy where Albus hated just sitting there and telling things how they were at home or when he was laying down for a nap or break after classes.
"Blood.. it's everywhere. Bodies of bloody muggles and our kind.. why are we the enemy? Why are we getting murdered? Isn't that dark lord gone? Why kill?" Albus asked all these questions and Alastair looked at both Harry and Albus.
"You know that saying 'legends never die'?" He asked and Albus nodded as he continued. "Voldemort may be dead, but his power is still out there. The death eaters will never be satisfied until the muggle kind are dead and gone." He grumbled as his eye twitched a bit. Ginny walked in with a tray of cookies and milk.
"Sorry professor, thought you boys could use something calming." She raised a brow at Harry telling him to leave Moody with Albus, Harry nodded.
"Hey kiddo, why don't you talk to him alone? Have your space where you two can talk about anything." He smiled and Albus bit his lip and nodded. "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of these nightmares and.. calm them down in a way." The male nodded and smiled half heartedly.
Both Harry and Ginny left the room and Harry leaned on the wall after closing the door behind him.
"Are you sure Moody is the best choice?" Ginny asked and Harry looked up at her raising a brow "He's the only one alive that I trust with these thoughts and dreams.." he chuckled and sighed feeling his scar shaking his head "Do you remember your third year and my fourth where Cedric and I were Portkeyed to the graveyard?"he asked and Ginny nodded hating that year where Harry almost died three times during those challenges. " Before we went to that Triwizard opening day, I had a nightmare about that same graveyard."
Ginny's eyes went wide "you never told me this.." she said annoyed but understood what was happening.
"You think Albus has that power like you do?" She asked and Harry nodded "I didn't want this for him but I was told by Severus that I have more of my father's magic than my mother's." He shrugged and grabbed a book off the shelf
"I don't know Gin.. it's not normal for a second year to have these dreams.. heck I didn't have nightmares until Summer when Dudley and his dumb friends dragged me to the park." His voice got deep for the moment but then chuckled.
The door opened behind Harry and they both looked back at Albus standing there.
"What's the plan?" Harry asked, the man cleared his throat. "I want you to help albus remove any nightmares after they happened. I'm sure Mrs. Weasley has a pensive in that head master office you could use or I will conjure one for you in your home" he laughed and Harry shook his head
"Harry.. these are not nightmares.. these are visions. Future deaths are happening, we need to find out who's next and location. Do not push him to take them out, these are precious where he may not want to share."
Harry started to open his mouth to speak but stopped, nodding "understood.. and thank you . I owe you time and money."
"Don't, you know I'd do anything for you and the family." He nodded but looked at Albus.
"You send me an owl instantly if you need me. Knowing your visions are getting worse, I'm always here if your parents cannot help you."
Albus nodded and sighed just wanting this darkness out of his head.
The man dispersed out of the room and albus grabbed his head after sitting down on the couch.
"Damn it why me? I didn't want this.."
Harry sighed and sat next to his son. "You and I have that power Albus. I could see the future. It could be dreams or just sitting there while spacing out during class. I think your grandfather had it too. At least that's what Severus told me when he was alive." He chuckled and put an arm around albus where albus just pulled away.
"Can I go be with Scorpius? He should be home by now." He asked his parents and Ginny nodded "of course kiddo, let us know if you need anything, okay?"
Albus nodded and walked out to join Scorpius who appeared into the kitchen and grabbed an apple.
"This isn't normal Harry.." Ginny said and Harry nodded standing up groaning "I know.. but once we get this nightmares into the pensive, the faster we can put these death eaters back into Azkaban." He rolled his eyes knowing that dark place wouldn't hold them for long since the cells would be overloaded.
While Albus was talking to Scorpius in the kitchen, his head begin to sting hard and he fell to his knees, his eyes gone white as he looked up at the ceiling.
"DONT TOUCH HIM!" Harry warned Scorpius as he was about to check on Albus.
"W..what's wrong with him?" Scorpius had never seen albus like this where Albus snapped out of it growling looking back at his father "werewolf kills a student.." were his words where Harry looked back when Ron walked in. "Which student did you see?" Ron asked and Albus shook his head "Couldn't see her face.. she was a Hufflepuff though, I could see the yellow robe." He said and Ron looked back at Harry "I will go look around with Hermione since she's the pro on the animagus tracking. Could be anyone."
Ron and Hermione dispersed to Hogwarts to find the student. Albus but his lip and shook his head "how many more students are a target for this so called war?" He asked and Scorpius hissed annoyed.
"It's not a war.." he said and both Harry and Albus looked back at him. "What do you mean?" Harry asked and Scorpius hissed again " There are rumors amongst the parseltongue students where the death eaters are looking for someone with powers that not even we know of.. hidden magic of the old days where it's stronger than normal witchcraft." He shrugged.
"They're not killing for no reason.." Draco walked on holding their youngest child feeding him. "They want answers. They want to find this magic for themselves but can't without someone powerful enough to see that so called magic."
Harry raised a brow at draco wondering how he knew of this magic.
"And how do we know it's real?" Albus asked and Draco smirked a bit "your nightmares are becoming more realistic daily. You think they're going after a shadow but then BANG! you find more and more muggles dead." He shrugged knowing his family hated muggles because they didn't understand magic.
Albus shook his head "darker magic or not, this needs to stop.. do we have a plan?" He asked and both fathers looked at each other.
"Why don't we go out to eat and get some rest on this topic huh? It's getting late and i heard you have dreams and nightmares to collect?" Ron asked and Albus' stomach growled. He groaned but nodded holding his stomach "food sounds good right now. Can we go to the train station cafe?" He asked and Harry nodded "sounds like a plan"
