Some of the death eaters were only doing this to stay alive against anyone who had anger still in their hearts because Tom Riddle had promised them power and money.
Draco sighed and as he sat on the Slytherin common room couch, biting his lip.
"I have failed you father.. your death is not in vain and I will have my time to avenge your hard work."

Lucius Malfoy was not the kind of father to show weakness but when it came to Draco doing well in life and during the battle of Hogwarts, he wanted to drag his son out and leave Voldemort's army.
Albus was walking into the common room when Draco hissed and threw his family ring into the fire. The fire turned green for the moment and Draco hissed louder than planned when Albus cleared his throat.
Draco turned and rubbed the back of his neck
"How much did you hear?" He asked and Albus chuckled sitting next to him "Enough to know that you're a better person today than you were back then."
Draco sighed and smiled looking at Albus but leaned back "I want to be the best father I can be to Scorpius, this war is getting dangerous and this was not our plan to have you fight. Your father and I have been talking and his is the target of the bad Death Eaters." He shook his head and summoned a cup of tea into his hands, sipping.
"My father is a great wizard, just like you. You really think he's going to just give up on everything you've grown up to be? I know I'm not one to talk but I've heard the stories of your battle here. It's not your fault Dumbledore died."
Draco laughed and sat up looking into the fire.
"I couldn't kill him Albus.. I had one job and I put my father and your  father at risk because it was my job to kill the most powerful wizard of all."
Albus but his lip and leaned into Draco's shoulder resting his head.
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked and Draco nodded "What was it like being the opposite House of my dad? Sure it was a house rivalry, but did you actually have feelings for him?"
Draco blushed and chuckled biting his lip.
"It was more of an envy situation. Your father was the best when it came to magic and flying. My father was disappointed I couldn't reach Harry's potential. I had other plans in my head where I almost got killed by Vincent."
Albus looked up at him "You mean the fire in the Room of Requirement?" He asked and draco nodded somewhat annoyed that was in the books. "Your father, Hermione and Ron saved us that day. We didn't deserve his love." He chuckled as Harry walked in with Scorpius.
"Drake? We need to talk alone." Harry said and Draco looked back, nodded "We'll talk later okay?" He asked Albus who nodded and hugged him then left to the bedrooms with Scorpius.
The boys walked off and Harry raised a brow and sat next to him.
"What did you talk about?" Harry asked and Draco composed himself, the blush somewhat faded from his cheeks "Just about our past being enemies." He chuckled and linked his hand with Harry's who kissed the top of Draco's hand.
"We never were enemies if you think about it." Harry said smiling and Draco nodded "We were acting because it's school and I was trying to be strong like you.. I was afraid of your dad." Harry said and Draco laughed, putting his cup of tea down.
"So what's next for this so called war?" Draco asked and Harry shrugged "We're taking the boys out of this war.. I'm not losing him over my past."
Draco nodded "he won't listen.."
"I don't care if he has to use dark magic to pull me out of this, he knows I am the target and they will stop at nothing to kill me." Harry hissed and whispered for Pandora to join him.
Pandora said her sorry to Albus and joined Harry around his neck lightly.
"Send word to your friends with the Death Eaters.. I come alone." Harry ordered and she tilted her head "Do I keep this from Albus?"
She asked and Harry nodded. "For now.. can you keep this promise for me?" He asked and she nodded "Yes My lord. I will not say anything to the young prince."
She slithered away and back to Albus who hugged her to his chest.
Draco looked at Harry "You're not really going alone are you?" He asked and Harry shook his head "I have talked to the gatekeepers of Azkaban and they have summoned the Dementors to help this last time. They will not kill anyone but they will stun our enemies without even touching them.. plus they know I will kill them if they attack anyone innocent." He smirked and Draco became somewhat scared of him, but knew it was the plan. "If you say so."
Harry raised a brow "you don't trust me?" He asked.
"I trust you, I don't trust the idea of those Dementors who almost killed you during Quidditch third year."
Harry had forgotten about that, he was in the air when they took his breath away and he fell out of the sky. That was when Sirius Black was being hunted for escaping Azkaban. Harry sighed shaking his head "This is going to be dangerous for him so I want the boys to stay out of it. They don't know that magic yet."
