ITʼS YOU

“Are you awake?” I almost doze off again due to my exhaustion. One thing that made me stay awake was Hazelʼs voice outside the door of my bedroom.

I stood up and felt dizzy, Iʼm very lucky that I could still walk through.

I opened up the door and all I could see was my sister who was holding a paper bag on both of her hands.
“I know youʼre still mad at me but I got you something.” aniya.

I tried to intimidate her so that she could stop bugging me.

“Alam kong hindi mo ako patatawarin ng ganoʼn ganoʼn lang pero sana makatulong ʼto.” she was still pushing to give me the paper bag. I donʼt know what might be inside of it but I already have a clue.

“Iʼll just put it here.”

“Bababa ako, Iʼll check whoʼs ringing the door bell.”

Hindi kaya si Mom ʼyon? Hindi kaya maaga siyang uuwi ngayon? If it wasnʼt her, then I have no idea who might that be. Not unless itʼs an important matter.

I felt dizzy again. Mom was right. I feel my body in a bad shape because I wasnʼt eating the right amount. I only drink water most of the time as an alternate for food.

My mind was so blank that it felt unpleasant to me. This is so dull.

My tongue and throat was dry so I grabbed the cup of coffee from above the medium cabinet.

As soon as I smelled the aroma, I already know what flavor of coffee it was. Cappuccino. I hate that he was the first thing that got in my mind.

I donʼt even want to receive it from her.

I was calmed down. I was doing fine but only a bit until Hazel knocked on the door aggressively and sounded as if in a hurry.

I came to check if something bad was happening. “What happened?” My hands and feet acted on its own. They ran as if my mind didnʼt told them to donʼt give a damn.

“Marcus is here and he was asking if he could talk to you.” Right now? “Right now.”

I hurried downstairs with Hazel. My blood was already boiling before I could even think.

When I saw him at the living room, my hands were curling into fists abruptly. “Why are you here?” I asked, wanting to push him out of the house.

He looked at Cyrus and gestured for them to leave us with each other alone. I was nervous for the moment I heard his name. It sent shiver to my spine.

I was freaking out. My whole body was shaking and I donʼt know why.

“Sorry.” he said in a low tone.
