CAPPUCCINO
“Malapit na natin matapos ʼyung binabasa natin.” Frankie stated when I set the book aside.
I simply nodded... Because I donʼt know what to say.
I am not complaining but thatʼs too much. I mean, she stays here everyday and never got to bond with her friends at school time. Regarding on studies, she can study here with all her time here if she wants to.
“I anticipate, matatapos natin ʼyan by Friday.” kinuha ko ulit ang libro at best binuklat ito sa parte kung saan kami tumigil. I counted the pages left to read then I turned my gaze back at Frankie. “I think thereʼs only two chapter left.”
“Then letʼs finish it up quick!” she jolted.
She left me chuckling softly when she stood up like an excited little girl.
She then went in front of me to get the book back so that we could continue reading up to the very last chapter of the novel. Sobra siyang sabik na sabik.
“Sit down, young lady.” I commanded.
“What did you call me?” tanong niya. Pinanlisikan niya ako ng mata.
Why do girls always do that? As if guys were doing something suspiciously awful. Whatʼs with the look on their faces?
May magagawa ka ba?” she asked, with her right hand on her hip.
May klase pa ako.” I uttered. With that said, she shuts her mouth. All of us has classes to attend. She is no exception.
Tumayo na ako at iniwan ang libro roon. That way, kung talagang ganoon siya sabik na matapos agad ang libro, basahin niya kung gusto niya. I wouldnʼt mind her being the one who finishes first.

I hurried on the way to my classroom.
“Shit, Iʼm late.” I hissed to myself.
When my professor saw me at the classroom entrance, I thought I was flying straight to detention, but luckily, I did not.
I wouldnʼt blame her—I canʼt blame Frankie.
I wouldnʼt deny, I was also enjoying with her around.
I never had someone to share my thoughts with. I mean, kapag tungkol sa mga libro. I was super addicted with books that I barely use my cellphone at all. I see the same trait in her. Somehow, we are binded by books and I will never complain about it.
She was much of a person whom I relate to the most.
