“First time mo ba rito?” tanong ko kay Marcus. His gaze was all over his plate, I couldnʼt see his face. Hindi niya rin ako tinitignan. Bakit bigla na lang nag-iba ang mood niya? He was all good and light feeling when we arrived here. What changed his mood?

“Hey,” I snapped. Tumingin siya sa akin. “Ayos ka lang?”

“I tried way so hard earlier.” aniya. Kumunot naman ang aking noo. Ano bang sinasabi niya? “I got carried away with my feelings.”

“Yes. First time ko rin ʼyung magdala ng special someone sa ganitong lugar. It was kind of making me nervous while I was planning the whole dinner date.” he explained, hesitant but still looking at me. At this very moment, I felt my heart racing with my breath. His sincerity fills my heart with joy and I couldnʼt stop thinking about every detail of him.

My facial features soften a bit upon hearing him speaking. “I told you, you donʼt have to—”

“Here we go again...” he left a frown while he puts his head on the palm of his right hand. He smiled affectionately when he saw my expression change.

“Sorry, my bad, my bad.” I giggled. “Iʼm just lost for words.”

“Me too... But I could still manage myself even though Iʼm really nervous right now. Iʼm not used to having dinner with a lady.” he stated. I can see that he is keeping himself collected and tries his best not to be a nervous wreck that stutters all the way.

“Anyway, how are you feeling?” Marcus asked.

“Feeling better and peaceful.” I confidently replied.

“We will wait until the clock ticks twelve midnight. I want to be the first one to greet you a Merry Christmas. Could you be the one for me too?”

Oh the way he speaks so gently.

With his warm hands that held mine, my heart melted. “Yes, of course.” A sweet smile appears on both our faces.

A moment later filled by our conversations. We talked about different things. Alternatively talking about ourselves. We were having a good time. Since our conversation goes along well, I thought of asking him regards his preparation before we arrive here at this very luxurious restaurant.

“So you really did prepare everything in such a short period of time huh?” I asked, slightly sounded teasing.

“Yup. Funny isnʼt it?” he chuckled together with me. He was proud of it and thatʼs adorable.

I was so astonished with how he was so organized with things and heʼs always sticking with the plan. He does that all the time. Finalizing everything and sticking to it til itʼs done. I wish I could do the same thing. I know well that I could do that too but it will take thrice the time he does.

“Iʼm so devoted now...” suddenly, the ambiance changes from light and cozy to magical and romantic. “Iʼm devoted to making you feel special in every way and in every chance that I get. You deserve it so much.”

God knows well that I am really lucky to have a man like him in my life. He was the best blessing I have ever had in my whole life.

“Marcus, I...” When I said his name, I felt the urge to express and confess my true feelings. “I want to fall in love with you again.”
