Chapter 19: A week before Arisu Arrives

[07 days before Arisu arrives in the borderlands]

Y/N's POV

The time is nearing, Arisu will arrive at the Borderland next week and I have everything prepared in my inventory and got some stuff in my backpack so it wouldn't look too suspicious when I get something out because I like to overthink things. I was currently chilling with Ann and Kuina in the bar, Kuina had a bottle of beer, Ann had a glass of white wine and I had an (alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink). We all were just chatting about how our games were and stuff like that, nothing too interesting. I was relaxing with a drink in my hand and spotted two girls that seem quite familiar. I squinted my eyes a little, trying to see if I could recognise them from afar. Those two are Momoka and Asahi, the two dealers that will supervise the game 'Witch hunt'. Well seems like we're getting closer and closer to the storyline, huh?

"Hey Y/N, Whatcha looking at?" Kuina turned from her conversation with Ann to me.

"I was kinda spacing out a bit" I sheepishly smiled, scratching the back of my neck.

"Oh, would you like to go back to your room then?" Kuina asked

"Yeah, I'm kinda tired from tonight's game, it required a lot of energy from me" I sighed, tracing the rim of my glass with my finger.

"Would you like either of us to accompany you?" Ann asked

"No it's ok, you guys continue whatever you were discussing, I just want to rest" I smiled

"Alright see you tomorrow then Y/N" Ann smiled softly

"See ya!" I waved as I made my way to my room.

I lay down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling, my mind began to wander these past few months. I noticed that Niragi would spend more time with me to the point of him neglecting his duties (which Aguni scold him for.) He'd use different excuses every time he would talk to me like 'I'm hungry' or 'I'm bored' it was quite strange. The others too were acting more affectionate towards me, well, Chishiya kinda warmed up to me but didn't do anything overly affectionate. It was good that I was establishing a bond with them but I have a suspicious feeling that some of them have developed a romantic attraction.

The thought of it inflated my ego.

I too started to develop some feelings for them, I felt my heart flutter at the sight of them, I'm not sure if it's that I simped for them through or something else. Maybe it's not too bad to have a romantic relationship with them, I can't exactly who I want to be with though...unless I could manage to be in a relationship with all of them. I chuckled at the thought, it's not impossible but there might be a slim chance of it though. I debated if I should tell them or not since this place isn't the best to form a relationship.

*Knock Knock*

"Who's there?"

"Chishiya"

"Chishiya who?"

"Chishiya Shuntarou"

"Aw, I thought you would make a knock-knock joke"

"No"

"Okay, I'll let ya in" I got up and walked up to the door, I opened it to see Chishiya in his usual attire, I swear, it was like he has 100 of those white jackets.

"Come in" I gestured inside, he obliged and sat down on my bed.

"Soooo, whatcha doing here?"

"I would like to discuss something with you" he stated

"Oh? Am I in trouble?" I asked getting nothing but silence in return.

"Alright, now you're just making me nervous" I sat down next to him, anticipating what he'll say next.
