[Arisu has now arrived at the Borderlands]
Y/N's perspective
Well, that was certainly an experience, can't believe I did what no one did: to leave the Beach. Now for a new problem: To navigate through Shibuya. Of course, I do know (a bit since I have never been here/a lot) but the place is just huge.
"Now, the scene did show that they appeared at the toilet stalls, but they may be checking other places." I thought to myself as I continued to look for them.
"Hey Codec, has the memory wipe been completed?"
"Of course, User Y/N! All done. Once you're ready to give them back their memory, just say the word!"
"Thank you, could you locate Arisu?"
"Sure!" A map in front of me appeared. Huh? a 20-minute walk? I better get going. I began to speedwalk in the direction the map was pointing me in.
20 minutes later
I arrived at the location it pointed towards me and saw the trio of friends sitting on the ground. I debated whether or not I should approach them quietly but I should probably make my presence known to them.
"Yo, you three! Why are you guys sitting on the ground?" I shouted. The trio turned to me in shock and a slight bit of relief.
"Oh! Uh hi! Do you know where everyone went?" Arisu questioned as I jogged up to them, pretending to not know about them at all.
"Wait, are you new here?" I asked. They all looked at me with a puzzled look.
"What do you mean?" Chota chimed in.
"Ah, so you guys are new! Well, the name is Y/N L/N. Just call me Y/N" I introduced myself. Arisu got up and introduced himself and the others.
"I'm Ryohei Arisu, the one in the blue-collar shirt is Segawa Chota and the one with the blond hair is Daikichi Karube." Both males nodded in acknowledgement.
"So what did you say about us being new here?" Karube raised an eyebrow at me.
"Ah, basically, you guys will be put in a series of games that could risk your life" I explained.
"What if we just... don't play the games?" Chota questioned.
"You don't exactly have a choice. You need to play a game to extend your days here, it's basically die or risk yourself dying."
"That certainly doesn't give us many options, but... how do you know this?" Karube eyed me suspiciously and I don't blame him.
"I've been in this place for like... err... roughly a month or so?" they paled at my response.
"You've been stuck here for that long" Arisu looked at me in pity.
"I'm used to it, kinda." I scratch my nape.
"You can, ya know, come with us? To find a way to get out of here." Arisu smiled as he offered his hand to me, I looked at him in disbelief. He really is main character material. Chota smiled at me kindly while Karube looked at me with a film look of reassurance.
"I- wow, sure then, why the hell not?" I took his hand.
"Well, then what now?" As soon as Chota spoke a familiar robotic voice echoed throughout the deserted city. A white screen lit up as we faced to where it was.
[Welcome players, the game will commence in a moment] The text read.
"Looks like you guys are gonna start your first game soon, huh?" I said.
