Adam's pov:
Jonah. He jumped off. I ran over to the side with desperation, a small sliver of hope that he survives. "JONAH!" I was starting to tear up. Sh!t Adam, don't cry...I spotted a tree, big enough to support something heavy. Could he...?
"F#CKING BRACE, JONAH! F#CKING BRACE!" I pointed at the tree.
He opened his eyes, I could see he was breathing unsteadily, as he saw the tree, he braced. The tree branches let out sickening snaps. Oh boy, Jonah was in for a rough landing.
Sprinting down the stairs and halls, I ran to the tree Jonah fell onto. "Jo-jonah..?" My voice cracked as my breathing just went crazy. The tree branches had snapped. "I'm fine, I'm fine." Jonah sighed and brushed the branches off. He had scratches everywhere, but not big scratches. I tackled Jonah into a hug, making him hit the tree trunk with a "Eep!" I shook so hard, burying my face into him. "..why.." I could barely breathe from how hard I was hyperventilating. "It's alright, Adam. Let it all out." I sobbed uncontrollably into him, whimpers and whines escaping me as I held him tighter. I almost lost someone. Someone who liked me. Someone who understood me. I hit his back in between sobs. "YOU B#TCH WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT..?!" I screamed into his hoodie. I sobbed even harder. He let out a laugh as I hit him. "I was just a bit broken you can say," he put a hand on me and lightly stroked my side. His gentle touch only made me cry louder into him.
(Time skip cause I genuinely don't know what else to write here)
I slapped Jonah on the back again. "Absolutely never do that again." I said softly but menacingly. I got slightly startled by my tone but it didn't show. Jonah got startled too. "..I'm sorry." He mustered a weak sad smile. He looked tired and drained from all of this. "You're hurt, am I right?"
"Yeah."
"Just scratches?"
"...no."
"Was it that Gabriel boy again? That motherfu-"
"Language."
"Sorry. Do you need to get something for your wounds?"
"Not just scratch wounds, Adam. It's also stab wounds."
My eyes went from soft and concern to stone cold stern.
"What did he do."
"Uhhhhh he stabbed my thigh twice."
"Now's a splendid time to take their organs, no?"
"ADAM NO TAKING OF PEOPLE'S ORGANS!" He slapped my back hard as I broke out laughing.
"There's the Jonah I know!"
He hit me again. "Just take me to get my wounds treated." He rolled his eyes at me. "Alright, ✨your majesty✨ !" I offered a hand to him in a chivalrous way. He smirked as he took my hand, stumbling slightly but being able to stand. "I don't think I can walk.." I looked down at the floor, which in Jonah body language (lmao what) meant he was sad. "Need me to carry you?"
"...fine."
I picked him up without warning which made him yelp. "Let's go," I made my way to the nurse's office. "Good afternoon, how may I he-" she stopped mid sentence. "Good grief, have you been stabbed?" She rushed over to Jonah and picked him up, putting him on the resting bed. "Long story..." she sighed and took the bandages out. "This is definitely going to sting." I gave Jonah's hand a reassuring squeeze. You're safe now.
this isn't going to be the first cliffhanger😈
