Karan finished his rounds and returned to his cabin.

The moment he entered, his eyes fell on Teja.

She was sleeping peacefully on the sofa, hugging a pillow tightly.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Karan (to himself): "She is so cute... just a kid... my kid."

He stood there quietly, looking at her.

Karan (to himself): "I don't know what I'm feeling, but I have peace with her. It feels different. I don't know what this feeling is yet... but I know one thing—I want to give this relationship my hundred percent. Not only because Abhi wanted it, but because I want it too."

His thoughts were interrupted when Omi entered the cabin.

Omi: "Bha—"

Before he could speak loudly, Karan immediately gestured for him to stay quiet.

Karan: "Shhh... she's sleeping. Talk softly."

Omi: "Sorry, sorry, Bhai."

Karan: "What happened? Any work?"

Omi: "Yeah. I needed your signature on these papers."

Karan quickly signed the documents and handed them back.

Omi: "Bhai, can I ask you something?"

Karan: "Ask."

Omi: "You like her, don't you?"

Karan looked towards Teja before replying.

Karan: "I don't know, Omi. It's something different. I can't explain it. I just don't know what this feeling is."

Omi smiled.

Omi: "Fingers crossed for both of you, Bhai."

Karan: "Now go and work."

Omi: "Going."

Omi left the cabin.

Karan walked towards Teja.

He was about to wake her up, but stopped when he saw how peacefully she was sleeping.

Without disturbing her, he carefully picked her up in his arms and carried her outside.

The hospital staff couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Someone whispered: "Who is she? I've seen her here many times."

Another person: "Is this really the same Dr. Karan?"

Many people were discussing it among themselves, but Karan ignored everyone.

He carefully placed Teja on the back seat of his car and started driving home.

There was heavy traffic on the road.

After some time, Teja slowly opened her eyes.

Karan noticed through the mirror.

Karan: "Good afternoon, Mrs. Kundra."

Teja looked around in confusion.

Teja: "Good afternoon... but how did I get here?"

Karan smiled.

Karan: "I know what you're thinking. You were sleeping in my cabin. I picked you up because you looked tired and I wanted you to rest."

Teja looked at him.

Teja: "But why did you trouble yourself? I'm so heavy."

Karan immediately frowned.

Karan: "What? Who told you that?"

Teja blinked.

Karan: "Trust me, you're not heavy. In fact, you need to gain weight."

That made Teja smile.

They continued talking casually.

Karan would occasionally look at her through the mirror, while Teja kept looking at him.

Then suddenly—

Teja's eyes shifted towards the road ahead.

A speeding car was coming dangerously close.

Her face turned pale.

Teja: "Karan...!"

Karan immediately looked ahead and quickly turned the steering wheel, avoiding the collision.

The car remained under control.

But for Teja—

Everything came rushing back.

The accident.

The blood.

Abhi.

The screams.

Her breathing became uneven.

Teja: "Bhai... no... no... no..."

Tears instantly filled her eyes.

Teja: "Bhai...! Car... accident... Bhaiii!"

Karan immediately understood.

She wasn't seeing the present.

She was reliving the past.

He quickly pulled the car to the side of the road and got out.

Opening the back door, he gently helped Teja out.

She was shaking badly.

Teja: "Karan... save Bhai... accident... car... Bhai..."

Karan's own eyes filled with tears.

Seeing her suffer like this was breaking him from inside.

Without saying anything, he pulled her into his arms.

Karan: "Shhh... I'm here, Teja. You're safe."

Teja clutched his shirt tightly and cried.

Karan kept holding her, allowing her to let everything out.

And for the first time, he realized how deeply that accident had scarred her.

Not just physically.

But emotionally too.
