Karan then went inside and gently picked Teja up in his arms.

Teja: Karan, please leave me. I can walk.

Karan: But I don't want you to walk.

Teja: Pleaaase...

She made her cutest puppy face.

Karan tried hard not to smile but finally gave up.

Karan: Fine, Mrs. Kundra.

He carefully put her down and held her hand as they walked out of the hospital.

Soon they reached the parking lot.

Karan opened the car door for her and made her sit comfortably before taking the driver's seat.

Teja thought they were going home.

But after some time she realized the route was different.

Teja: Karan... where are we going?

Karan: You'll see.

After a while they reached the beach.

The cool breeze welcomed them.

Karan came around the car and opened the door for her.

They walked slowly towards the sand and sat down near the shore.

For a few moments neither spoke.

The sound of the waves filled the silence.

Then Karan gently turned Teja towards him.

Karan: Teja... I know what happened at the hospital.

Teja looked at him in surprise.

Teja: But how?

Karan: I have my ways.

He smiled softly before continuing.

Karan: Listen carefully. The most important lesson life taught me is this...

If someone close to you says something, it hurts because their opinion matters.

But if someone who means nothing to you says something, don't give them the power to affect your peace.

Teja quietly nodded.

Teja: Hmm...

She slowly moved closer and hugged his arm.

Karan smiled and let her stay like that.

After a few moments...

Karan: Teja...

Teja: Hmm?

Karan: I'm sorry I kissed you. I thought you didn't like it.

Teja immediately looked up.

Teja: Who told you I didn't like it?

Karan blinked.

Karan: You didn't respond.

Teja instantly looked away.

A blush spread across her cheeks.

Teja: That's because...

Karan: Because?

Teja: Because I don't know how to kiss.

For a second Karan just stared at her.

Then his eyes widened.

Karan: Wait... what?

Teja looked even more embarrassed.
