Taehyung snatched the remote lying on the coffee table and changed the news channel into a cartoon channel. His 4 year old daughter who was sitting on his lap giggled when she saw the colorful creatures on the flat screen moving around.
He smiled at his daughter Taehee, feeding her a slice of an apple. Taehee munched on the apple, missing the way Taehyung's smile faded and turned into a frown. "Baby sit down here okay? I'll go make a call to your papa." Taehyung placed her down on the couch with the bowl of sliced apples on her lap and got up, placing a hand on his big 8 months old pregnant belly.
His soon to be born second daughter.
He carefully sat down on the dining table's chair and dialed his husband's number. Taehyung was angry. Angry at Jungkook for taking such a decision of going far away from them just to solve a case. He knew it was Jungkook's profession and he was even aware of the fact that Jungkook would be coming home late after work or sometimes return home early the next day, but still he chose to marry him. Why? Because he loved Jungkook, ofcourse!
Jungkook didn't pick up the call at the first try so Taehyung was about to call him once again when suddenly a horn of a car in his driveway stopped him. He saw Jungkook's car pull up in the driveway and his husband getting down and making his way to the main door.
Taehyung huffed getting up from the chair with his arms crossed over his chest. He watched Jungkook walk into the house with a broad smile when he saw Taehee sitting in the living room and watching cartoons.
"Taehee, my baby," Jungkook calls out, his arms open wide as he squats down on the floor a few steps away from the couch. "I missed you so much. Come to papa, Taehee," He says.
"Walk." Jungkook added.
Taehee giggled when she saw her father, and slowly tried to get down the couch. She placed her thin, boney legs on the floor and wobbled. Her legs shivering as she tried to balance her entire body weight on her thin legs.
"You can do it. You are my strong girl, Taehee. Come on, walk and come to your papa."
Jungkook waits for her patiently in his place without moving. Taehee took a step forward as she tried to stand straight on her leg while wobbling, then she took another step. Jungkook smiles wider, still waiting for her. Before Taehee could take the third step on her own, her legs gave out, falling forward. Jungkook immediately caught her before she could fall down.
"Good girl!" Jungkook praised, "you took two steps on your own without anybody's help!"
Taehee smiled shyly at her father's lovely praises, nodding her head up and down, her thin hair bouncing along. He kissed her cheeks and picked her up, standing straight.
