I hadn't planned on updating this chapter just yet due to the limited feedback received on the previous one, but here we go...

The evening sun dipped below the horizon, as time seemed to slip by unnoticed in the cozy living room. The soft ticking of the wall clock echoed in the warmly lit space.
Jungkook had been working tirelessly at the office and it had kept him at work far longer than usual. He knew he was going to be late, so he had called ahead to let Taehyung know about his delayed arrival. Hence, Jungkook ended up having a simple dinner with Lee in his office.
As he turned the key in the front door and stepped into the familiar surroundings of his home, he immediately spotted his precious daughter sitting in her wheelchair. The soft glow of the television cast flickering images in the background as a sleepy looking Taehee plaits her doll's hair, her small fingers delicately weaving through the woolen strands.
Jungkook's heart swelled with warmth at the sight of his daughter. He squatted down in front of her, spreading his arms wide, and with a loving smile, he said, "Taehee, come to papa."
Taehee looked up, her eyes lighting up as she saw her father. She returned his smile and with all the strength in her little body, she attempted to stand up. Her thin, bony legs pushed against the wooden floor, and she wobbled for a moment.
Taehee began to advance step by step towards her father. Her gaze remained fixed on his welcoming, outstretched arms. She was determined to bridge the gap, even if it meant just covering a short distance. However, just as she pushed forward, her legs betrayed her. They wavered, and she found herself on the verge of losing her balance.
Jungkook's quick reflexes kicked in, and he swiftly scooped up his daughter, his strong arms wrapping protectively around her. He showered her with kisses on her chubby cheeks, his voice filled with pride and encouragement, "You did amazing, Taehee. Papa is so proud of you for trying to walk."
Taehyung, about to leave the kitchen, paused as he witnessed this precious moment between father and daughter. He made his way over to them, a soft smile gracing his lips. He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Jungkook's lips, his voice laced with a hint of sadness, "I missed having dinner with you, Kook. It's lonely eating alone."
Jungkook's eyes softened as he looked at Taehyung, his regret evident. "I'm sorry, Tae. We got important leads, and I couldn't leave the office."
Taehyung nodded understandingly and took Taehee from Jungkook's arms, holding her close. "It's alright, love. Since you are finally here, let's make the most of the time we have now."
Jungkook watched Taehyung with a lazy smile on his face, nodding his head. With lazy movements, he turned away from Taehyung and began to walk leisurely towards their bedroom.
Over his shoulder, Jungkook's voice filled the air, "I think I'll take a relaxing bath now, Tae. Afterward, we can cuddle up in bed, you can wait for me there."
Taehyung, however, gazed at Jungkook's retreating figure with a hint of confusion in his eyes. His husband's words hung in the air, and he couldn't help but wonder if Jungkook had forgotten about their morning conversation.
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Taehyung longed to remind Jungkook about their plans for the evening.
"Firstly, let me put you to sleep, Taehee."
With practiced grace, he moved deliberately through the living room, his steps quiet as a whisper. First, he reached for the remote, turning off the television, the abrupt silence contrasting with the previous background noise. Then, he carefully dimmed the living room lights to create a soothing ambiance.
