In the bustling investigation department, Jungkook sat in his office, a veil of professionalism concealing the turmoil that raged within. The walls were adorned with crime scene photos and meticulously organized evidence boards, a constant reminder of the task at hand – solving a perplexing murder case, a complex web of clues and motives lay before him, demanding his full attention.

As he meticulously pored over the evidence board, his thoughts kept drifting back to Taehyung, and the accusations he had made. He knew deep down that their love had been strong, built on a foundation of trust, but doubt had crept in like a shadow, casting uncertainty over everything

Just as Jungkook was about to delve deeper into the abyss of his thoughts, his phone vibrated with a message. It was from his trusted partner, Detective Lee, who he had appointed to investigate Ju Ho's background.

‘Jungkook, you need to see this’ – the message read, setting Jungkook's heart racing.

Curiosity piqued, Jungkook swiftly made his way to Lee's cluttered desk. Lee had spread out a collection of documents and photographs before him, all shedding light on a different facet of Ju Ho's enigmatic life.

"What is it that you've discovered about Ju Ho?" Jungkook inquired, his voice laced with anticipation.

Lee began, his tone a blend of intrigue and concern, "Ju Ho Shin wasn't always Ju Ho. His original name was Kim Myeongjin. He changed his name when he started college, and it seems to be more than just a simple name change."

Jungkook leaned down to study the documents more properly. He learned that Kim Myeongjin had lived a life far from ordinary. Myeongjin's father had been grappled by a draining illness. Then, during Myeongjin's high school years, his father had mysteriously vanished without a trace. The case had remained unsolved.

"His father's disappearance was never resolved," Lee explained, a furrow forming on his brow, "and that's not all. Myeongjin's mother met a tragic end just last year, and the police had suspicions surrounding her involvement in his father's disappearance. They believed she might have killed her husband and disposed of his body in a place yet undiscovered. With her demise, Myeongjin is now essentially alone in the world."

Jungkook's confusion deepened, and he stared at the documents in his hand. Nothing about Ju Ho's past seemed to hint at any involvement in the gruesome murders. His outgoing and flirtatious personality didn't align with the chilling image of a cold-blooded murderer going around South Korea killing young gurls.

Yet, the unsolved mystery of his father's disappearance cast a long, haunting shadow.

Jungkook couldn't help but wonder: could there be a sinister connection between Ju Ho's cryptic past and the murders of the innocent girls who had fallen victim to this malevolent predator?

He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this story than met the eye.

As Jungkook pondered the enigmatic past of Kim Myeongjin, he couldn't help but wonder why Su Mi's best friend hadn't disclosed anything about Myeongjin/Ju Ho's name change. With furrowed brows, he turned to Lee, who was equally perplexed.

"Lee, it's baffling that Ha Yun didn't mention anything about Myeonjin changing his name to Ju Ho."

Lee nodded in agreement. "I can't fathom it either," he replied, his voice tinged with curiosity. "In fact, I uncovered another intriguing piece of information about her. She wasn't Ju Ho's neighbor in her hometown, but her grandmother was. She used to visit her grandmother during vacations, and I guess it was during those fleeting moments that she fell in love with Ju Ho, or I would say Myeongjin."
