EP37: Seeking answers from beyond

The day began just like any other for Taehyung. He was alone at home, looking after their kids while Jungkook had set off for a day of work. In the heart of their living room, Taehee was engrossed in a world of play, surrounded by a towering pile of toys. The soft morning sun poured in through the curtains, casting a warm and gentle light on the scene.

"Ah-choo! Mama! Too– much dust," Taehee sneezed, her small nose scrunching up.

The morning tranquility was soon disrupted by Taehee's voice, as she started to complain about the dust. It came as no surprise, given the substantial layer of dust that had accumulated on her toy box.

Taehyung glanced around and noticed that the house was becoming dusty because he hadn't cleaned it properly for a while. He made up his mind that it was high time to tackle some cleaning.

He went to the storeroom, where they kept their cleaning supplies, and found the vacuum cleaner standing in the corner, waiting to be used. With a firm grip on the vacuum's handle, Taehyung plugged it in and switched it on. The familiar hum filled the air as he felt the machine come to life. He took a deep breath, ready to tackle the dust and dirt that had started accumulating.

Starting with the living room, he carefully directed the vacuum across the floor. The bristles of the vacuum's brush were efficient in gathering even the tiniest specks of dirt. Taehyung's footsteps left lines in the carpet, only for them to be erased by the machine's passage.

He paid extra attention to the corners, where dust tended to gather. The vacuum's nozzle easily reached the tight spaces, making sure no dirt was left behind.

Once the living room was all clean, he moved to the bedroom. Taehyung knew that a clean bedroom would create a more pleasant atmosphere. The vacuum's nozzle glided smoothly over the bedroom floor, removing any particles that dared to linger.

But as he moved the vacuum under the bed, he noticed something unusual. There, hidden beneath the bed, were two gift boxes, both adorned with pretty, bright, colorful gift wraps.

And he instantly knew who they were from. It had been a while since Taehyung had received these gifts from Ju Ho.

Intrigued, he decided to open them, starting with the larger of the two boxes. As he carefully lifted the lid, he was greeted by the sight of an exquisitely crafted doll. Its delicate features and lifelike appearance left Taehyung mesmerized. It was a truly thoughtful and beautiful gift, and he couldn't help but smile.

However, the more he looked at it, the more the doll resembled him. It reminded him of the time when he was pregnant and used to wear dresses.

Not wanting to dwell on the doll, Taehyung shifted his focus to the smaller box. It was flatter and compact, and he wondered what might be hidden inside. Could it be a photo frame or some other small item? With gentle fingers, he unwrapped the gift and lifted the lid, and to his surprise, he was met with shock.

Nestled within the box was an Ouija board, its dark wooden surface adorned with mysterious symbols and letters.

His heart raced, and he couldn't comprehend why, of all things, Ju Ho would give him an Ouija board as a gift. He vividly remembered Ju Ho telling him that the gift was meant to congratulate Taehyung for becoming a mother once again. Shouldn't the gift be something for the baby?

The supernatural implications of such a gift sent shivers down his spine. He had heard countless stories of eerie encounters and unexplained phenomena related to these boards. Taehyung put the Ouija board back into the box and pushed it under the bed, not wanting to look at it any longer.

He continued with his cleaning, doing his best to act as if he didn't know what was in that smaller box. As he vacuumed the room, a sudden noise jolted him from his thoughts. It was a soft but distinct sound coming from underneath the bed. It was as if something was moving.
