The sun's gentle fingers began to stretch across the tranquil room as dawn broke, illuminating the cozy kitchen in a soft, golden hue. The remnants of a long night were etched on Taehyung's face as he stood before the stove, his disheveled hair and half-lidded eyes revealing the toll a sleepless night had taken on him.

It had been a long night for Taehyung, who was now in the kitchen, still wearing his pajamas, and preparing breakfast. His eyes were heavy with sleep, and his movements were slow and sluggish. Last night had been a series of interrupted dreams, as he had to wake up every two hours to feed Jiyeon.

He was physically present, but his mind was miles away, trapped in a haze of fatigue.

As Taehyung scrambled eggs in a pan, he couldn't help but yawn. The aroma of cooking eggs filled the room, mixing with the scent of freshly brewed coffee. His focus was divided between the sizzling eggs and his tired thoughts.

The quiet shuffle of footsteps approached, and Taehyung's gaze shifted to the entrance. It was Jungkook, carrying Taehee in one arm and Jiyeon in the other. A small, fond smile graced Taehyung's lips as he watched his partner enter the room.

Taehee was placed gently in her designated high chair by the dining table, while Jungkook seated himself beside her, Jiyeon nestled in his loving arm.

Taehyung soon served them breakfast and joined them at the table. He began eating mechanically, his mind ensnared by the relentless grip of sleep deprivation.

Jungkook, on the other hand, was keenly aware of the subtle nuances. He took a bite of the food, only to find them devoid of the usual flavor. His brows knitted in puzzlement as he observed Taehyung eating the same tasteless meal without any complaints.

The food was tasteless, and he wondered if something was wrong with his taste buds. Jungkook examined Taehyung closely, searching for any signs of illness or distress, but he found nothing. Taehyung appeared normal, both in his behavior and expression.

Taehee, being a foodie person just like her Papa, took a large bite, her small teeth sinking into the eggs. She chewed thoughtfully for a moment, and with a tiny frown, she finally uttered, "Yucky. I don't l-like it!"

Jungkook watched her closely, as Taehee removed the half-chewed food out of her mouth onto her tiny hand. With a clear squish, she transferred it back onto her plate.

Jungkook's eyebrows shot up, taken aback by this behavior. He knew that teaching his daughter manners and respect for food was a small but important step in her development.
"Taehee, sweetheart, it's not polite to spit out food. We should always try to be polite, and spitting out the food is not good manners."

Taehee blinked innocently, her eyes wide as she gazed up at her father. "But it's– yucky! I-i won't eat it. I-i want to eat something else."

Jungkook sighed softly as he took another bite of his tasteless breakfast, glancing over at Taehyung who was still eating quietly. He hesitated for a moment, wanting to broach the subject politely.

"Taehyung," he began, his tone gentle, "I was just wondering, is there something different about the breakfast today? It tastes a bit... different."

Taehyung blinked slowly, his attention wavering from his plate to Jungkook. His response was a string of unintelligible words that had no meaning.

Concerned, Jungkook took the plates away and decided to make sandwiches for everyone. He couldn't bear the thought of his family eating tasteless and undercooked food when he could easily whip up something delicious.

The clatter of dishes in the sink provided a background rhythm. With practiced speed, Jungkook prepared a batch of sandwiches, each bite promising the flavors that had been missing earlier.
