[I've been not updating for the past few days, and it's because I had lost my motivation to write due to the lack of response to my last few chapters. But I had a reason to come back today and you will find out by the end of this chapter. Please do read the end message]
___In the living room, blissfully unaware of the ordeal that their maid was facing. Jungkook's heart swelled with adoration, cherishing the time spent with his beloved family. Little did he know that just a few doors away, their maid, Hyun-Joo, lay motionless on the bathroom floor.
Silence settled like a heavy fog. The shadows seemed to dance, murmuring secrets that no one else could decipher. Unseen and otherworldly whispers brushed against the tiled walls of the bathroom, creating an unsettling energy.
Hyun-Joo's eyes fluttered open, her vision clouded as she slowly regained consciousness. Lying on the cold bathroom floor, Hyun-Joo stared up at the ceiling, her breathing shallow and erratic. Her gaze drifted, absorbing each minute detail of the tiled surface-the cracks, the imperfections.
A pounding headache throbbed within her skull, echoing the remnants of the fall she had taken. Panic surged through her veins as the memories of what had happened flooded back into her mind. Her thoughts raced, her mind a storm of confusion. Fearful tears welled in her eyes as she tried to make sense of the events that had unfolded.
But what chilled her to the bone wasn't just the fall or the strange presence in the bathroom - it was the realization that she wasn't alone. The rhythmic sound of someone's hoarse breathing along with her made her soul tremble, raising goosebumps on her flesh once more.
Outside in the living room, oblivious to the turmoil unfolding within the walls of Hyun-Joo's bathroom, Jungkook and Taehyung remained wrapped in the warmth of their love, unaware of the hauntings faced by their maid.
Summoning every ounce of courage within her, Hyun-Joo hastily grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her soaked body. With every fiber of her being screaming at her to flee. Hyun-Joo ran towards the safety of the hallway, casting desperate glances over her shoulder as she made her escape. Fear clutched at her chest, making it difficult to breathe, but the need for survival compelled her forward.
As she reached the hallway, her heart pounding in her ears, a sense of relief washed over her as she turned the corner and caught sight of Taehyung, Jungkook, and their daughter giggling by the movement of the baby in Taehyung's stomach.
With a mix of fear and relief flooding her body, she couldn't contain herself and screamed, causing Jungkook to immediately stand up, his eyes wide with concern.
As she rushed to Jungkook, her trembling hand clutched onto his bicep, seeking comfort and protection. She hid herself behind him, feeling safe there.
In that moment, Taehyung's eyes narrowed and he glared at Hyun-Joo. Anger flashed across his face as he noticed her wet, barely covered state. He assumed it was a ploy to attract Jungkook's attention.
Jungkook, however, was completely taken aback by Hyun-Joo's frightened state and worriedly asked her what had happened, "what happened? Why do you look so terrified?" His voice was filled with genuine concern.
"THERE IS SOMEONE IN THE BATHROOM! I CAN'T SEE BUT I CAN FEEL IT!" Hyun-Joo's words came out in hysterical screams as she explained. "I DON'T WANT TO GO IN THERE!" Fear gripped her so tightly that she couldn't even bear the thought of going back to that room.
"Hyun-Joo! Hey relax, don't panic. Come with me, we'll go and check it out together, okay?" Jungkook tried his best to calm her down, assuring her that he would check the bathroom with her. He turned to Taehyung, telling him to wait in the living room with Taehee.
