The day had finally arrived when Taehyung's parents and in-laws were to visit them, and a whirlwind of emotions swirled within him. His heart raced with anxiety, and his mind buzzed with a never-ending to-do list. It was meant to be a joyous occasion, the first time they would see his newborn child. But for Taehyung, it felt like an overwhelming storm on the horizon.

The evening sun streamed through the bedroom curtains, casting a pretty glow on the cradle where their precious baby slept soundly. Taehyung couldn't help but watch the peaceful rise and fall of the tiny chest, a momentary respite from the turmoil inside him.

Jungkook bustled around the kitchen, preparing a special meal to welcome their guests. The savory aroma of homemade lasagna filled the air, a dish that had become a comforting staple during their marriage. Jungkook's cheerful humming should have been a soothing backdrop, but it only increased Taehyung's unease.

Taehyung walked into the bathroom, standing before the mirror, studying his reflection. His usually bright eyes were clouded with worry, and the smile lines that once danced at the corners of his lips were hidden beneath the layer of tension. He sighed, realizing that he needed to put on a facade of happiness, one that would conceal the emotional turmoil threatening to surface.

With trembling hands, he began to run a bath, the sound of running water echoing in the small room. The steam that enveloped him was a metaphorical cocoon, a place where he could briefly escape the world outside. As he removed his clothes off and sank into the warm embrace of the water, he felt the weight of his emotions press against his chest, threatening to burst forth.

It happened suddenly, without warning.

A single tear welled up in the corner of his eye, then another, and soon his cheeks were streaked with silent tears. He rested his head back against the edge of the bathtub, his sobs muffled by the sound of running water. The sadness and anxiety he had been holding in for for a while now spilled out, mixing with the bathwater, a silent confession of the inner turmoil he had been grappling with.

Minutes passed as Taehyung let the waves of sadness wash over him. He knew he couldn't let Jungkook see him like this, not today. With great effort, he wiped away his tears, his hands trembling as he regained his composure.

Exiting the bathroom, he wrapped a bathrobe around himself, his skin flushed from both the warmth of the bath and the intensity of his emotions. He took a deep breath and plastered a smile on his face.

He had to be strong, for his husband, for their daughters, and for the impending visit. Today was a day for celebration, and Taehyung was resolved to make it a memorable one, even if it meant concealing the storm within him behind a facade of joy.

As he dressed up in some casual clothes and sat in front of the dresser, his gaze fixed on his own reflection but his mind was far away, lost in a sea of emotions. The impending visit of his parents and in-laws had left him feeling anxious and unsettled. He wondered if he would be able to conceal the turmoil within him.

As he stared into the mirror, a soft, almost ethereal sound caught his attention. Turning slightly, he saw Jungkook enter the bedroom, walking over to Taehee who was looking prettier than ever in her blue dress, engaged in an animated conversation with her baby sister, Jiyeon, swaddled in soft pink. The sight tugged at his heart, filling him with a bittersweet mix of joy and apprehension.

Jungkook's gasp of delight at the sight of their children pulled Taehyung from his reverie. "My babies are the cutest in the whole world!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine pride and adoration. He leaned down to place tender kisses on Taehee's forehead and Jiyeon's tiny head, showering them with affection.
