April 2012. 08:50. S.H.I.E.L.D's Helicarrier. Somewhere in the sky.
Third Person POV
A loud ringing made its way towards Sophia's ears. Her ears were buzzing and she felt like her head was spinning. Hadn't she been on the ground, she was sure she would've lost her balance and fallen. Her eyes opened slowly, even though they felt like they were led. Her right hand was twisted in a strange way but as she stared at it, she hoped it was not broken. Maybe only fractured.
Groaning, Sophia pressed both of her hands on the floor and tried to push herself up. Little shards of glass broke through her skin and some cutted deep. There was no time to pay attention to the pain in her hands as Nick's voice came through her comms.
-Coulson, initiate defensive lockdown in the detection section, then get to the armory.- Nick said and Sophia started to stand up. Once on her knees, she turned around to see where she had landed and a few meters away she saw Natasha and Bruce, but Bruce was turned, so they only could see his back.
-Romanoff?.- Nick's voice came again followed by Natasha's confirmation.
Sophia was only able to hear their responses because of the comms, but her ears were still ringing and everyone's voices sound like they were miles away. Shaking her head, trying to get rid of the noise, she started to stand up, but her legs gave out. A sharp piece of glass was stuck on her thigh. She laid on the ground for several seconds, her breaths were uneven and her fists were tightening. She couldn't run with a piece of glass stuck on her leg, she needed to take it out. But she needed something so she wouldn't bleed out.
Her head fell and she felt the cool metal against her cheek, instantly making her feel better. She had no idea how or where Tony and Steve were. Worry started to curse through her system as she tried to make her brain and body work properly. Just as she was finally standing up, steadily, a loud roaring came through the walls, making her freeze in place. Her eyes widened in fear and her heart started beating erratically in her chest.
That was Bruce.
Turning slightly to the left, behind some pipes, Sophia was able to make the figure of a big (huge, actually) green person (she felt bad calling him a thing). Natasha turned to look at her briefly and Sophia waved her off, telling her to run away. Natasha's foot had just been freed so she took a run for it, distracting Bruce from seeing Sophie.
Just as Natasha and Bruce were far away enough, Sophia rose to her feet and after debating on whether to help her friend or doing something else, Nick called her in the comms.
-Dumont? Dumont, do you copy?.- Nick said and after sighing heavily, Sophia replied.
-I'm okay.- She said, her heart still on her throat after what she had just seen.
-I need you to get to Coulson and help him in the cage. Go!.- Nick said and Sophia nodded to herself.
-Copy that.- Making her way through the halls she ran and ran, trying to get to the cage to help Phil in containing Loki. As she was almost close, she saw a couple of agents entering through the doors that led to Engine 3. For what she heard, Tony and Steve were in engine 3.
Making a run for it, she followed the men and just as they had crossed the door, they were probably already fighting Steve. Another one came in and this one started firing straight away. Someone was firing back at the guy, and Sophia assumed it was Steve. The guy fired at him and Steve fell over the broken part of the carrier. If it hadn't been for a cable, he would've plummeted to the ground.
Sophia took this as an opportunity and appeared behind the man, firing straight to his neck. Once the man was down, Sophia made her way towards Steve, running up the stairs. Before she arrived, Sophia heard her brother's voice on the comms.
