29th October 2012. 20:45. I.I.S.A Headquarters. Paris, France.
Sophia's POV.
I made my way through the doors of the building on my way to see Pierre.
After we arrived yesterday, he made me get some tests to see if I hadn't broken anything and that everything inside of me was fine, as well as stay the night so I could get some rest after the chaotic events of the last few days.
I had indeed gotten some rest and now, after a day an a half, I had to fly back to New York. Not precisely because I wanted to work right away, but mainly because Nick needed to talk to me and as much as I was dreading that, I knew it had to be done.
Something Tony wasn't very happy about.
*FLASHBACK*
-T...- I said, trying to talk to my brother, but he, like always, wouldn't listen.
-I mean, seriously? After everything the guy did, you're just gonna go back there to work for him again? And you're not even going to come visit me first?.- He exclaimed and I lifted an eyebrow.
-So, are you truly mad because I have to report back to Nick after what happened or because I am not going to visit you first after my mission?.- I asked, knowingly.
His silence extended for three solid seconds and I almost laughed.
-Point is.- He said and I sighed. -I just think it would be better if you stayed with Pierre for a little longer, you know? He's not hiding anything from you and as far as I'm concerned you also work for him. Leave Hook and then you come back later or in a few years- Tony said and I pondered over the thought for a minute.
Yes, I worked for both of them and even though I had just finished one mission with Pierre, I could stay here and do a little more. Maybe it's what I've been needing. Some time to get away from everything back there and just change the scenery.
-I know. I am considering it, but I still have to go to New York because my time with Fury isn't done yet. But as soon as I know what he wants, I'm going to L.A and stay with you, spend the holidays there and then maybe come back to Paris for a while.- I say and out of nowhere, I hear the clattering of something metallic falling to the floor.
I frowned and tried to say something else when I heard Tony curse on the other side of the line.
-SHIT!.- He exclaimed and I raised my eyebrows.
-Tony, what are you doing?.- I ask and I'm met with silence, once again.
-Oh, you know, just passing the time, I have found this really good meditation app–
-Okay, cut the crap, I know you've been building suits since I've been gone. Happy told me.- I say, cutting him off and he goes silent.
-Snitch.- He mutters and I laugh. -I just, I just need to do something, you know? I just need to get rid of this weird feeling in my stomach and my hands and my chest everytime I have a flashback.- Tony says and I roll my eyes.
-It's called anxiety, Tony.- I say and he scoffs on the other side.
-Ha, I don't suffer from anxiety.- Tony states and I once again, roll my eyes at him.
-Everyone does. Especially after what we lived in New– But he doesn't let me finish, as usual.
-AH, PAP PAP. No. We don't say that. We don't mention that. That's the thing that shall not be named. We agreed, remember?.- He says and I feel annoyance creeping in me.
