December 2012. 21:56. Central Park. Manhattan, New York City.

Third Person POV.

Sophia and Steve walked down Central Park. The two had gone for lunch together and after having a nice warm coffee and spending their whole evening together, both of them decided to take a walk in their favourite park.

-So, when are you leaving?.- Steve asked as they both decided to stop on the bridge, right at the middle where the view of the almost frozen lake and park was more beautiful. There were still orange and brown leaves falling from trees, making them almost look entirely naked. The ground was covered in a sea of oranges that warmed Sophia's heart at the sight. The lights from the lamp posts made everything feel warmer, calmer.

Fall always made her feel this warmth in her body, like it was almost preparing her for her favourite season and even though winter was her favourite, autumn was close behind.

-Maybe next week. I told Tony I'd be there before Christmas.- Sophia answered and Steve nodded.

-And after that, you're moving to Paris, right?.- Steve asked, his voice getting lower at the end of the sentence.

Sophia turned to look at him and pursed her lips.

She had a plan, but things with Steve had been so nice that she was considering changing them. They were getting closer and she didn't want that to end. If she left, then the chances of them seeing each other would be minimal because she wouldn't come to New York that often and she doubted Nick would let Steve miss work for several days just to go see her.

It was going to be hard for both of them, especially after everything they had shared.

In the last month after Sophia's return from Iceland, things had changed between them and they knew it. The stolen glances, the smiles, the flirty comments, the brushing of their fingers or the lingering looks they threw sometimes, all of that meant something for both of them, and the tension between them was growing by the second.

They could feel it, but the anxiety of messing something up was eating them alive.

But at the same time, they just wanted to be closer to each other, to hold each other tighter, to kiss each other. The thought had been at the back of their minds for a long time now and the urge to just feel their lips against each other was now a mystery they wanted to solve. A question they wanted an answer to.

And they realized that if she left, their chances of this ever happening were going to be slimmer.

Which is why Sophia was considering asking Pierre to let her stay in New York's I.I.S.A HQ's, she was going to ask him once he arrived in L.A for the holidays and if he agreed, then Sophia and Steve could spend more time and maybe, just maybe, their chances of trying something might be better.

The chance for Sophia to finally open her heart, would be there again for her to take.

-I was thinking of asking Pierre if we could move to New York's headquarters for a while.- Sophia said and Steve turned to look at her.

Her rosy cheeks and her pink nose were sending him into overdrive because of how cute she looked to him. She was wearing a deep green coat, black leggins, black thigh-length boots and a black scarf around her neck. Her hair was loose over her shoulders, her curls blowing wild with the wind and it was getting covered by the light snow that was falling.

She looked beautiful tonight and Steve couldn't keep his eyes away from her.

-Really?.- He asked, his heart suddenly filling with hope once again.
