Chapter 9

When you came back from Rito Village, you saw that the cooking pot was empty. This means Revali was awake and ate the Salmon. You could not spent much time there because you are going to have a date with Kent. In the opposite, you promised Revali's mother to take care of him. 'At least I can cook another meal for him' you thought.

You bought some rice and prime meat to make a prime meat rice bowl. In all your cookings you added ingredients, with healing abilities. This way, he is able to come back sooner and you could go back to work. After making dinner for Revali you went home to prepare for your date.

Usually you wear your Rito armour all the time. As a general, everyone should know your position. However, today for your date, you wanted to be more elegant. So you took off your armour and took a dress out of your wardrobe. You untied your hair and let it fall over your shoulders. To finish your look, you put on some earrings.

As if on cue, Kent knocked on the door frame. You turned around and his eyes went wide. "Wow, you look beautiful (Y/N). I have never seen you like this before. Usually you are in your armour." You blushed and said thank you. "Where are we going?" you asked. He smirked at you. "We are going to Castle Town. There is a nice restaurant a friend of mine owns."

Castle Town was a half an hour flight from Rito Village. You have been there for one occasion or two but it was not recently. So you had no idea what to expect there. From far away you could see how full of life the town was. Children were playing outside, adults were trading or sitting around Central Square and the elder ones were walking around.

The two of you landed in front of the main gates and walked in. The town was even more beautiful than it looked from above. "We have to go there. Do you see the house with the terrace? This is where we are going." You entered the restaurant and the owner, a Hylian, came over to you and greeted Kent. "How wonderful to see you, thank you for coming. Your place is ready on our terrace. Please make yourself comfortable."

You went upstairs and Kent went out of the door first. When you walked outside, you could not believe your eyes. It was a small terrace with one table. On the table were two candles and a flower bouquet. On the floor around the table were rose petals in red and white color. As you were watching everything, you did not notice your beak was open.

"Is it too much?" Kent asked. "You are not going to propose, right?" you asked, afraid of the answer. He started laughing. "No, no. It would be crazy to propose on our first date. I just wanted it to be special. Do you like it?" You looked at him with a wide smile. "I have to admit, I am not the romantic type but this is absolutely stunning. I could stay here forever."

Shortly after sitting down, a server came with an entrée. You looked to Kent. "Did you already made an order?" He chuckled. "Yes. I did not want to waste time on looking for food. I want to enjoy every single moment with you." He took your hand in his.

"I have to admit, I never imagined the two of us being here. I always liked you since I met you but never had the courage to ask you out. And then, you became General. After that, my courage fell even more. But then, you had that fight with Revali and I admired you that moment like never before. This was the sign that showed me, I have to ask you now or never." Your stomach fluttered at his words.

"Why are you admiring me the most, when I am yelling at someone?" you asked him. "Because none of us had the gut to talk to him like that, but you." He squeezed your hand slightly. "And I hope this is the first date out of a lot more." "I hope so too" you gave him a smile.

After finishing your dinner you walked around Caste Town to have a look at all the little shops. You stopped by a jewelry store, where a necklace catched your eye. "Look at this Kent, isn't it beautiful? They made a necklace with our Rito Symbol and gems on it." "It is indeed beautiful? Do you want to buy it?" He asked you.

"I do not think so. I do not have many occasions to wear jewelry. Let's go see what other shops they have here." You wandered around for a while before you wanted to go home. But before you went out of the town, Kent stopped walking.

"Sorry (Y/N) I forgot something at the restaurant. I will be back in five minutes. Can you wait here for me? I will be quick." While he was gone you looked to the castle. You were never inside and wondered, how it must be like. 'Living in such a big building must be confusing with all the rooms and hallways.'

Your thoughts were interrupted by Kent. "Let's go home, it is getting late." When arriving home he led you to your hut. "Thank you for coming with me tonight. I would like to repeat it soon. But next time I want you to wear this..." Out of his pocket, he took a silver necklace with the Rito Symbol and gems on it.

"This is thenecklace from the shop in Caste Town" you gasped. "Yes, I wanted youto have it. You said you have not many occasions to wear it but I hope thedates with me are occasion enough?" Sheepishly he looked in your eyes."Yes they are. Thank you, I really did not expect it" you saidgratefully and cupped his head between your hands to give him a deep kiss.
