Chapter 17

You and Revali arrived back in your room at the Castle. Everything he ordered at the bakery, he laid out on the table in the middle of the room. There was Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Fruitcake, Carrot Cake, Nut Cake and an Egg Tart. "Ok, what is you plan with all this Pies, Revali?" You asked him curious. "Sit down" he smirked at you.

"We are going to have a cake tasting. You know, people do it with wine so I thought we could do it with cake." At the end of his sentence, he lowered his tone. There was something in his voice you could not match. It was like he was embarrassed or a hint of shyness. Plus, he avoided your gaze. You have never seen him like this, it was so untypical for him. Was he opening to you? Whatever it is, it is really cute. And since you did not want to make him feel uncomfortable, you encouraged him.

"Revali, this is so cute. I have never thought on something like this but I love the idea" you smiled brightly. His face lit up immediately and it even looked like he blushed a little. "Ladies first" he said and sat down on the other chair. As you were looking on the different cakes, you decided to take a piece of the Nut Cake. "This one is good and not too sweet. Which one  should I try now, hmmm.... oh, the Apple Pie."

The two of you tried every cake and even made a ranking from best to worst. "I am so full. This is the last time I did something like this. I wanted to be nice and now tummy aches from too much cake" Revali complained. "Oh come on, don't be such a baby. It was so funny and we are not starving anymore. Besides, I like the new Revali. I wish for it to stay it like that" you smiled at him.

"I have to admit I do not remember when the last time was, I had so much fun. It feels like nothing changed between us from our days as kids. Not having you by my side the last couple of years was a mistake." He said. You smirked and started teasing him. "I know I am so wonderful. A life without me is for everyone a loss. Do you want to marry me now or what?" As you started laughing he played along.

"Was that a proposal? Who would have thought that the great (Y/N) wants to marry me? It is an honor my Lady but no thanks" he laughed. "No, no, no, don't get me wrong my Lord. This was not a proposal at all. But the Rito Champion Revali, best archer of all times could be grateful to have someone so incredible just like me, to call his wife."

Both of you made fun of each other and as the evening turned late you decided to go to bed. The next morning, after eating breakfast with the other champions you flew home. As you arrived at Rito Village, you saw Kent patrolling and flying around the Village. "Revali, I am heading over to Kent. See you soon and thank you for the nice evening yesterday. Hopefully we can do something like that again" you smiled warmly. "Goodbye, my future wife" he teased you and went to another direction.

Kent saw you giving Revali a smile an him saying something. 'What is going on between them' he thought. "Hey sweetie" you greeted him. "Sweetie? That's knew. I did not know we have nicknames for each other. Why are you such in a good mood?" he asked curiously.

"You know, the mission is completed, I had a nice evening with Revali and now I can see you again. Everything is just great right now" because of your good mood, you did not notice the change in his behavior. "Oh, so you are really close to him now?" he asked. "Yes, it is nice to have him back. I really missed this. We had a cake tasting yesterday. He came up with the idea because of all the wine tasting stuff. Who would have known he is so spontaneous?" you giggled.

"Oh really, how nice to know..." Kent said sarcastically. Now you noticed something was off. "Is everything alright?" you asked him. "Yes, yes, everything is alright. I am SO glad how you and Revali are getting along now. Listen, I have to finish my shift in patrolling. After that I have something to do. I will see you tomorrow." With that, he flew away from you. 'Did I say something wrong? Is this about Revali? Is Kent jealous? Oh my... he is jealous! How can I be so dumb and tell him how much I had fun with another guy? Uh, I have to make it up the next time I see him.'
