Chapter 26

Moblins, Bokoblins, Wizzrobes, Taluses, Hinoxes, Guardians and Lynels. All sort of Monsters were spread over Hyrule Field, fighting against Hylian troops of all races. The Champions were with their Divine Beast, helping as much as they can. Their descendants were fighting as well, but on the ground with Link and the others. Even the King and the Princess did as much as they could, despite being royalty.

You were fighting a silver Moblin behind the Sacred Ground when you saw Zelda approaching. She stood on the platform and raised her hand to use her sacred power. But before she could do anything a blood moon had risen. "Wha... What?" She asked herself anxiously. From the corner of your eyes you were able to see a purple and black smoke appearing on all sides. The defeated Moblins were back, as so the bigger Monsters, the others defeated.

Zelda was looking around franticly. "Princess" you called her while running to her. "We will defeat them again. Stay calm, please. You can fight the Moblins with me until the others are done. This way you can stay near the Sacred Ground and be ready." She looked at you for a couple of seconds before she nodded.

The two of you defeated all silver Moblins and Zelda was waiting on the platform again. She could see the barrier around the Castle fading away and when there was almost nothing left, she knew it was now time for her. Again, she rose her hand and a bright, golden light beamed towards the Castle. The barrier was gone for good and you were all able to enter the Castle.

Zelda, Link and the Champions made a group to enter. The Hylian, Gerudo, Rito, Goron and Zora army spread across the Castle ground. This way they were able to defeat it from all sides. You did not know what was going on inside but on the upper lever, where you were appeared Wind- and Fireblight. "What the.... what is happening here? I thought we defeated them!" You said out loud. Teba came over to you "I think as long as Ganon is alive, they will be too. Are you ok?" he asked you.

"Yes I am. I have been preparing for this moment most of my life. Let's go and kick some asses." you said and Teba laughed at your comment. After a while Revali came to help you and the others, while Link went into the Gatehouse to fight Astor. When he defeated him he gathered the Champions, their descendants, the King and the Princess together. "It is time to go towards the Sanctum" you heard him saying.

You looked over to Revali and he was looking at you. "Good luck" you mouthed with your beak and he replies with "I love you". Then they went off. Fortunately, after a while the paths were mostly cleared off Monsters but everything was destroyed. "Captain, what should we do now?" One of your soldiers asked. "Nothing. There is nothing more we can do. Our fate is now in their hands" you said and pointed towards the Sanctum.

The soldiers began to sit down and rest, others started to chat with soldiers from the other races. Your eyes were on the Sanctum and they never left it. After a while, a golden light emerged from all openings around the throne room. When it faded away, the sky turned into its normal color, a light blue. 'Was that it? Is it really over?' you thought.

From afar, you saw some figures exiting and a bright blue light spread into four different directions. The King, Princess Zelda, Link and the Champions came down with an exhausted but happy face. With her hands in a praying position, Zelda started to speak. "We defeated Calamity Ganon and he is gone for good! Thank you all for your support, without you we would not have been able to do that."

"Let's go home, tell your families and friends it is over. The rebuild of Hyrule will start soon but until then rest. Take care of the wounded and dead and give them a proper goodbye." The King turned to his daughter and they talked in private Revali came to you and rested his forehead on yours. "Thank Hylia you are ok. It is over (Y/N), I cannot believe it. Most of our lives we worked so hard for the last few days and now it is over, just like that." He said.

"I am so done with the Calamity. Maybe we should go home now and inform everyone. Our mothers are waiting for our return" you answered. You turned around to face the members of your army. "You heard the Princess, let's go home. We all deserve a good amount of rest and peace. But before resting we will have a meeting tomorrow at our usual spot, please meet me there." They nodded and went off, just like you and Revali.
