Chapter 24

With the help of Vah Ruta, the other Champions and their armies, you were able to defend the Akkala Citadel. The tower was not in Ganon's control anymore, so your mission was successful. The only thing that caused problems was a Guardian full of malice, which surprised Link as he wanted to rescue the Sheikah's.

The next battle was already waiting at Fort Hateno. As they heard from others, it was under attack. Revali saw vah Naboris far away, struggling with the horde of Guardians. So he decided to help with Vah Medoh. The rest of the group headed towards Fort Hateno. Monsters and Hylian troops were spread across Blatchery Plain. Just like at Akkala Citadel, there were small fires everywhere. You went towards the Fort and the others split, so you could help everywhere. Elemental Guardians came from every corner, a Lynel appeared within the Fort gates, Bokoblins and Lizalfos were there in uncountable numbers.

You were not able to see everything outside the Fort gates but at one point, it seemed like Ganon's Windblight was out there. So you rushed towards it and there was a hooded man standing and laughing maniacally. Around him were all four blights and all hope seemed lost. The blights attacked Link and behind him were Impa and Zelda running away. Just as you wanted to help him there was a blinding light and you had to cover your eyes.

Time stood still and everyone was standing in surprise. "Was.... was that me?" you heard Zelda saying. The Guardians and the blights were stunned and were not able to attack. Link took the chance and attacked the Water- and Fireblight. The hooded man was somehow able to send the Wind- and Thunderblight away and the fight continued.

Purah, one of the Sheikah scientists, had the idea to use the Sheikah furnace, so she can send a shock wave to all the Guardians. Link wanted to accompany her on the way because all of the monsters. Thank goddesses he did it because out of nowhere Thunderblight appeared. Luckily you saw everything. "Link, take care of that Beast, I am going to help Purah" you yelled. He quickly nodded without losing focus and you continued with Purah.

Almost at the end of the path, Windblight appeared again. "Not you again" you muttered. "Purah, we are almost there. Can you do the rest without me?" "Of course" she said with a grin. You dashed towards the Windblight and started attacking him. 'Damn, this is harder than I thought'. Just as you dodged you saw someone running and freezing the blight with stasis. Link! "Need some help?" he asked. "I will never say no to some extra help" you said.

The two of you defeated the beast quickly. Almost instantly, you felt some kind of shock wave and saw all the guardians were stunned. This must have been Purah's work. You rushed back to the fort, Link went to another direction to destroy some guardians. After some time, when the monsters were already retreating, a malice Guardian appeared, just like the one at Akkala Citadel. Unfortunately, all of you were already fighting other guardians so no one really had the time for this.

Zelda shot one light beam to the guardian she was fighting and then one to the malice guardian. Just as the malice guardian was about to shoot her, Link jumped in front of her and reflected his beam. "Thank you" she said. He only nodded and went off to fight it. Soon it was over and all monsters were gone. You all were exhausted. Nonetheless, you all had to clear away some stuff and treat the wounded.

The sun had risen and Zelda stood on the gates of Fort Hateno. She held a speech and showed her sacred power. It has finally awaken and it brought hope to all of you. After that, one of the guards wanted to talk to her and she disappeared with him and Impa behind the walls. At the same time you were sitting on a log, when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around and saw Revali standing behind you with a soft smile.

You jumped up in joy and slung your wings around his neck only to kiss him deeply. He put his wings around your hips and kissed you back. When you parted, he put his head against yours. "What was that for?" ha sked. "I am just glad you are ok, that's all" you smiled. You stood there for a while until someone interrupted you. "So, you are thing now? Congrats you two" Daruk said cheerful. Just as you wanted to answer, you heard Zelda asking for attention.

Behind her was Impa, Link and the leader of the Yiga with his army. Everyone on your side quickly took out their weapons to attack the Yigas. "No, please stop" Zelda said with a hand raised. "I know the Yigas used to be our enemies but they are our allies now." Murmuring was heard from everywhere.  "The hooded man with the floating orb, Astor, worked with the Yigas. Or rather, he used them. He is beyond evil even for the Yigas, so they made the choice to join us to bring him down."

She continued. "They will not only help us in this war, they swore their allegiance towards the crown. I, the Princess of Hyrule, welcome them on our side. I know this seems rather surprising but we need all help we can have. Hyrule is our very all home and we have to defend it. So please, inhabitants of Hyrule, let's fight all together." The first few seconds were quiet and then suddenly everyone cheered, even the Yigas.
