War & Love - Revali x Reader

Chapter 11

Once again it was time for your weekly meeting with the Rito captains. When Revali made his way through the crowd to stand next to you the others asked him if the mission he had was completed but he ignored them.

"Now, for the end of our meeting, does anyone has questions?" Some Ritos held their wings up. "What was that mission about, you and Revali had?" one asked. You looked over to Revali and you saw a glint of panic in his eyes. You sighed as you looked over to the Rito who asked.

"Unfortunately we are not allowed to talk about it, as his majesty the King ordered. But what I can tell you is, that we are going to the lost woods in two days. Revali is going there with Vah Medoh to clear the paths from monsters for the Champions. I, and Generals from the other races, are going to accompany them to the entrance of the forest." Revali nodded to you.

'Is he being nice?' you thought. Another Rito asked: "Are we allowed to know, why you are going to the lost woods?" He asked, clearly not satisfied with your previous answer. "Yes. The master sword rests there and as you know, we are still looking for the hero, who is going to wield it. We hope that this trip will give us some indications about the wielder. Now, if you do not have more questions, this meeting is finished."

Two days later, the big group of Champions and Generals arrived at the entrance of the lost woods. Revali just flew down from Medoh. "Everything is cleared up, we can enter now" he said. "Good luck" you said. He gave you a short look and the Champions entered the forest.

After some time of resting and having lunch, you started to talk to the other Generals. "How do you interact with your Champions?" The Zora started. "Mipha is very nice and is always asking for my advice and opinion, since she is more occupied with her role as a Princess." The Goron continued. "Daruk and I are sharing our missions, that or we are doing it together. It depends on how much we have to do." You looked over to the Gerudo. "Urbosa is very strict but fair and she is always looking out for everyone. She is splitting all missions to the two of us."

'Wow, everyone has a nice Champion but me.' "How are you dealing with Revali?" The Gerudo asked. You huffed. "Revali is a lot to deal with. He wants to do everything himself to show us, he is the best. We had a bad fight at one of our meetings and I said some rude stuff. But in the end it was worth it because he is not disturbing my meetings anymore."

"I bet he is jealous" the Goron said. "Oh he is indeed. Our old General admired Revali and he did everything Revali wanted. When I was announced the new General he was very angry and said it should be his job because he is the Champion." "He cannot be a Champion and a General at the same time" the Zora said. "That is exactly what our village elder said."

The four of you continued talking until you heard voices coming from the forest. You turned around and saw the Champions coming towards you. From far away you could see, Revali was in a bad mood. It was even worse than usual. But Revali was not the only one with a bad mood. Zelda looked sad. 'Oh no, what happened this time? I hope he was not rude towards her.'

You watched the other Champions and they seemed exhausted but happy. "What happened? Is everything ok?" You asked. "The Yiga and their Seer happened. They attacked us with monsters and malice blocked the way to the Deku tree. We managed to defeat them, thanks to our new found hero" Urbosa smirked and nodded in Link's direction.

"Link is our hero? He really managed to pull the sword out?" You asked surprised. He scratched the back of his head. You noticed Revali looking in the opposite direction, visibly annoyed. Daruk started laughing out loud. "It sounds like you do not believe in his skills" You felt your face heaten up in shame. "No, this is not what I meant! I am so sorry! I am only surprised because the hero was with us the whole time. He was literally in front of our eyes and we did not know it. Congrats Link! I am so happy for you." You smiled to him. "So, what is the plan for now?"

Zelda steppedforward. "We are going back to the Castle to inform my father whathappened. He is going to give us new orders, since Link pulled the MasterSword. Maybe Purah and Robbie also made some new discoveries regarding ourlittle guardian, so we can help them.  But for now, we should hurry, it is gettingdark soon."
