"Thank you for coming. Even when the Calamity is defeated, we still have some work to do. Hyrule needs to be restored and soon enough we will be informed how and when we can help." You started your speech. "But first of all, I want to thank you. Thanks for your braveness, your loyalty and service not only for our Village but also for our Kingdom. All of you have contributed to our victory."

"Unfortunately, not every brave man and woman made it through this war alive. Therefore there will be a funeral tomorrow at sunrise for our fallen ones. They will be buried with their weapons as a sign of their service. I am asking you for your attendance. Many of them sacrificed themselves for us. Without them, I am sure there would be more deaths." You sighed.

"As soon as I have more information I will let you know. See you tomorrow." You closed your speech. Most of the Ritos went home again but one of them wanted to talk to you. "(Y/N), can we talk?" Kent asked you. "Yes, we need that talk" you said. "Is it true you are with Revali?" He asked you disappointed. "It is true and I owe you an explanation. Come, sit down."

The two of you sat down on a bench and you started talking. "I did not expect that, honestly. It all happened pretty quickly. I never cheated on you if you are thinking this. But now when I think back there were some signs of feelings towards him. Since I was with you, I never acknowledged them. I really wanted to be with you but at the same time our split did not hurt me that much."

"In a war you have to act quickly and I think this is the reason everything happened in such a short amount of time. When he was trapped in Vah Medoh I thought I lost him and it was the worst feeling ever. This was the time I realized I love him. He survived as you know and after the battle on the Ridgeland he confessed and I did the same. We did not know if we would survive so we used the time we had." You could clearly see how hurt he was.

"I am so sorry Kent, really. You are such a good guy and you deserve someone who loves you just as you love them. And I am sure there is someone waiting for you." You gave his wing a squeeze and he gave you a soft but sad smile. "Thank you for being honest. Even if it hurts I wish you two the best." He gave you one last hug and left.

A month later...

All races of Hyrule were invited to a celebration for your victory. The feast took place at Hyrule Field and since the Castle was still mostly destroyed, the cooks were not able to prepare food for so many people. This is why Zelda had the idea for every race to bring some food and specialties from their tribe. This way everyone can try different food.

The Princess and the King held some speeches and after that, the festivities started. You have never seen so many people on one place but it was stunning. Everyone was happy despite the lost lives. There was dancing, laughing and chatting everywhere. On one occasion, Revali danced with you and after finishing, he asked you to follow him.

He led you onto a hill under a tree, where a frog was with yellow eyes. "I guess we both remember the day our lives changed, when I did not want to touch the frog" he said leaning over to pick up the frog. "I want to show you that I am not afraid of them or afraid to soil my wings" he hold the frog in front of you and you chuckled. "Revali I never said you are afraid of them, it was just funny that a proud little Rito did not want to touch a frog." You said.

"Sit down with me" he said and put the frog aside. You two sat in silence, watching the festivities below. "Look how beautiful Hyrule is" you began. "After all these years of fear are over, now we can finally live in peace. Even The Yiga Clan realized it is false to worship Ganon. I know the Princess said they swore their allegiance to the crown but do you think they are really give up their crimes?" You asked him and he was thinking for a few seconds.

"I am not sure what to think of them. The clan was founded because the ancient King forbid the Sheikah technology, so they were expelled. But we proved them we needed the technology and they even fought on our sides. I hope for all of us they will rejoin the Sheikahs and live in peace with us. Otherwise we are going to beat their asses." Revali said in a stern voice.

You laughed "Once a warrior always a warrior. You like the trouble, don't you?" "I like the action. But that does not mean I have not a soft side." He stood up and went down on one knee in front of you. He took your wings in his and started "(Y/N) my love, I told you I will marry you when everything is over. Now that things settled down, the time is right to proceed with my plans. I love you more than anything else and you are the key to my happiness. We lost many years together through my stubbornness but I will make up for it every single day."

Tears begun running down your cheek as you knew what he is going to ask. In this very moment, everything you felt was pure love towards the Rito in front of you. "From this day on, I swear to be the one Rito who will make you happy. (Y/N), will you marry me?" In a quick move you cupped his face and placed kisses all over it. "Of course I will!" You two shared a long and deep kiss to seal your engagement.

"I love you Revali and I am happy to spend the rest of my life with you. But to be honest I was not sure if we were already engaged or not after you told me you want to marry me on Vah Medoh." He chuckled in embarrasement and said "Back then I said that out of an impulse but I ment every word of it. Today, I wanted to do it in the traditional way. Do you want to go back to the party?"

"Yes, let's go. I want to share the news" you said with a huge grin. The rest of the day you spent in all happiness, sharing the news with your friends and families. This was just the beginning of your life together, with the Rito your heart belongs to.
