War & Love - Revali x Reader

Chapter 25

After some resting around Fort Hateno, Zelda got a message there are troops fighting on the Great Plateau. She was discussing with some of her closest friends and the scientist Purah. You were sitting in the grass, cuddling with Revali when you heard her speaking again.

"Hylian troops are fighting on the Great Plateau and they need our help. Unfortunately, we are not able to make it in time, even if we are going to run all the way. But with the help of our brilliant scientist we found a way to teleport there between the Sheikah Towers." She turned to the Yigas.

"Kohga, would you join with your army and help us there? This way the troops here can rest a little more before we head towards the Castle." He was surprised she asked for his help and not ordered it but he nodded in agreement. "Count us in, Princess" he said. "Thank you" she answered. "Everyone else, please meet us around the Sacred Grounds. We are going to attack together with our full Power. Champions, prepare your Divine Beast and bring them there as well."

With that, she, Impa, Link and the Yigas walked towards the nearest Sheikah Tower, accompanied by Purah. You turned to Revali and gave him a peck. "I have a question" you said. He gave you a simple hm to show you to continue. "What do you think about exchanging our army? The ones that were watching over the Stables and the Village entrance all this time could join us and the ones, that were fighting, should make their job and protect our home if needed. We have enough time now and they could all need a change."

With a frown he looked at you. "Since when are you asking me for advice? It is your army not mine." He said. You put your wing on his forehead. "Do you have a fever? You always wanted it to be your army. What changed?" He giggled. "I accepted it long time ago I have nothing to say there. So I am asking you again, why do you want to know my opinion all of a sudden?"

You gave him a sweet smile. "We are partners and not only in a romantic way. I want to know your opinion on everything. If we were on good terms, I even would have asked you back then if you agree with my strategy. You are our Champion, you represent the Ritos and I am their General. We should work together and take care of each other."

"Well then..." he kissed you. "I think it is a good idea to exchange. The ones here deserve a break and the ones back home are surely eager to fight. Go inform the others before it is too late." He gave you one more kiss. So you informed your army and they all seemed thankful. You and Revali made your way towards Vah Medoh, He left the Divine Beast near Hyrule Field, since he helped Urbosa with Vah Naboris attacking the Guardians.

From there you were able to see the fight on the Great Plateau. The people were too far away so they all appeared as small figures. You were not even able to tell which figure was a Monster and which a Hylian or Yiga. Gradually, more and more troops arrived at Hyrule Field. Your army's exchange finished and they were all gathered around Vah Medoh. The battle on the Great Plateau ended as well and they all moved towards the sacred ground. The Champions arrived with their Divine Beasts and were ready to fight.

You and Revali were standing on Vah Medoh's back next to the control unit. "I guess this is it, our final battle has arrived" you said with a deep sigh. Reval swung his wings around you and hugged you tightly. "Yeah I think so. Be careful down there, ok? I am not ready to lose you. We deserve to have a long life together. Listen, when this ends and we are both still alive, I will marry you, this is a promise. I love you (Y/N) and I want to spend the rest of my days with you."  "I love you too Revali. I look forward for our wedding day."

You shred a long and deep kiss before you flew down towards the others. Your heart was beating fast and hard against your chest. 'We have to survive, I am not ready to leave him either. Please Hylia, hear my prayers. Let us win this war and spare us all sorrow and doom'. As you arrived, you took your place in the formation. In the front were Zelda and King Rhoam, behind her were all Generals with their army in a square formation. And in the back were the Divine Beast with the Champions and their descendants.

"Calamity Ganon will brought to its ruin" Zelda started her speech. "Hyrule is our home and we must band together to protect and defend it. Divided, our strength would have never been enough. But together... all of us, united in our great power... together we are unstoppable! We shall overcome this threat! Now, to the Castle!" Everyone cheered and lifted their weapons. And so, the battle begun.
