Some days later, Revali's condition increased. He was awake for longer periods and regained his strength again. One day early in the morning, when he was sleeping you went again to the flight range to prepare breakfast for him. Just as you finished his omelet, he started to wake up. In a rush of panic, you flapped your wings and flew out of the hut.

Of course he heard you. "Who is there!?" he asked but you gave no answer. You tried slowly and as quiet as possible to fly away but you had to make some noises. The only thing left was to fasten your flight. Luckily for you, Revali did not see you.

"These noisy Ritos, can't they leave me alone? I hope they don't know I was injured. This is a sign of weakness. Huh? What is that?" Under one of the shelves was a little red feather, it was one of yours. 'Was (Y/N) here?' he thought. 'No, this must be a coincidence. She hates me. This feather must be here for a while now. She surely lost it at one of the trainings.'

"Damn, this was a close one" you said to yourself. Over the Hebra Trailhead Lodge you went home. But first, you wanted to talk to Revali's mother. She was sitting in her hut, making some breakfast. "Good morning (Y/N), any news from my son?" She asked you.

"Actually yes, I just came from him. He almost saw me and I had to be careful on my way here. But he is doing good. In fact, I think he is coming home soon. You should be prepared." She gave you a warm smile. "Thank you so much. Come, have some breakfast with me. You must be exhausted from all the caring over Revali" she patted the place next to her.

You nodded and sat down. She made some delicious mushroom skewers and sautéed vegetables. "How can I ever thank you for taking care of him? You are one of the nicest people I have ever met." She stroked your back. "You do not have to thank me. The two of you were there for my mother and me, when we needed you most. I can never forget that."

"My dear, if we won't help each other out then who will?" "You are right. Both of our families lost their husband and father and I am glad we are looking out for each other."  As the two of you talked more, you did not notice a Rito coming over. He was standing in the doorframe and looked at you.

"Why are you eating breakfast with my mother? Do you not have your own home?" Revali asked you. Shocked about his sudden appearance you just sat there and looked at him. "Revali! Stop being so rude! I invited (Y/N) for breakfast and you should be more thankful to her because she brought you to the flight range after your battle." His mother said.

"Because of (Y/N) the Hinox hit me. If she was not there I would not be in this state!" He looked at you angrily. 'It was nice while it lasted' you thought. "Look Revali, I am sorry it hit you but I just wanted to help you" you said and continued with a calm voice. "I didn't want the past to repeat itself. It still hurts me and I can't take something like that again"

You stood up and started to leave, when you stood in front of Revali you stopped. "And for your information, only the tree of us and Kent know about your condition. I told the others you were on a mission and I helped you out. I know you are too proud to admit you got hurt. I will see you at our next meeting." As you went by Revali huffed and looked in the opposite direction.

When you were gone, he looked at his mother, who glared at him. "Do not give me that look mom. It is her fault all of this happened. And why did she even told Kent about it? She should have kept it to herself." He sat down next to his mother.

"Sometimes I can barely recognize you, Revali. I did not raise you like that. You should be more grateful for (Y/N) and besides, (Y/N) told Kent about your condition because they are dating and he had to cover your story." "What? They are dating? Hah, this is hilarious. They should both focus on their jobs."

"The job is not a priority for everyone, my son. Now come here, let me see you. How are you feeling?" She looked at every inch of Revali's body just to be sure he is alright. "I am still feeling tired but I am much better thanks to your good food. Thank you mom, for taking care of me. I know it was hard for you to fly to the flight range."

She sighed heavily and looked away. "You are welcome."
