KIM'S POV

Weekend came and everything was all set. I was supposed to pick up Iris at her house but she changed her mind last minute. She sent me a message that Shelby will be driving them to the vet since she'll be taking home Susu for the weekend.

I drove to the address of the vet she sent me and meet them there meeting Susu for the first time. She was so adorably cute like her owner. Susu was an eight month old Siamese cat.

Iris would surely be delighted if she sees Nimo when we get home. Nimo is a 3 month old Garfield that's currently staying with Nana.

I saw her staring at my car when Shelby and Susu were already out of sight. I brought my yellow convertible Porsche with me which I always use whenever I jaunt back home.

"You okay?" I asked when I noticed she kept on breathing deep and fidgeting when we got settled in the car.

She smiled awkwardly. "Yeah."

I reached for her hand and squeezed it gently. "Don't worry. They're gonna like you."

She's gonna meet my family under the premise of being friends but she's evidently nervous and I totally understand her. It's just a matter of warming up though coz I'm certain that Nana would love her.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city gives me a feeling that I always crave for, peace. The pace of life in the city is somewhat tiring. People get by without realizing they are forgetting how to live their lives. There were nights that I stay at my office, seated on my chair mindlessly watching the tall buildings and the vastness of the sky. People needs to slow down at times to remind themselves that life isn't just about survival.

"When was the last time you travelled to the outskirts away from the city?" We're currently driving through the expressway on the way out of the metro.

"I can't really remember. I think it's been years. I get too busy with work I don't get the chance to go anywhere." She said truthfully and I felt her exhaustion right there.

"That's unfortunate. I think you're gonna have a great time." I smiled at her when we drove past the exit almost reaching where the thick trees are.

I pressed the button on the console and the roof of my car went down. She squealed and watch it go over our head. The cool breeze immediately hit our skin bringing an exhilarating feeling.

She stretched her arms up invigorating herself with the fresh air. Her hair getting flown away by the wind but she could care less. I can see how the scenery changed her mood and uplift her energy.

She's so pretty.

IRIS' POV

I closed my eyes revelling on the cool wind embracing my skin. It's been ages and I can't even remember when was the last time I came in contact with the nature. This feeling right here, I can get used to it.
