Euphoria.
If there's one thing that would describe how Kim feels right at that moment, it was that word. Euphoria.
Her eyes were engrossed in taking in the overlooking view of the vast blue ocean from their honeymoon villa. The smell of the ocean was so enchanting, the need to dip in the waters was so enticing. The calm waters was a representation of how they feel.
First day after tying the knot, the couple flew to Bali for their honeymoon. Kim took a deep breath as she tries to process how they came to where they are now, it was indeed quite an adventure.
The older woman gaze down to the gold wedding band with intricate details in her finger, a constant reminder of their triumph over their tumultuous adventure and a proof of their life long commitment.
"I guess this is really it!" Iris shrugged holding the bouquet of flowers with both her hands, making the guests laugh at her joke.
She cleared her throat and locked gaze with the woman in front of her who was wearing a sweet, wide and identical smile like hers. Standing in front of the officiating priest, the two were ready to set forth with their new peregrination hand in hand.
"Just like what I have always imagined, you standing in front of me breathtakingly gorgeous on your wedding dress." This time, Iris has a different glimmer in her eyes. "I don't think I can remember the times I have pictured this moment inside of my head until this day has finally come. I've always envisioned how magical it would be and I can definitely attest it's beyond my imagination. You never failed to make me feel like I am the most special person in the whole world and I will always be thankful for that. Destiny might have thrown us obstacles we almost gave up to but here we are, standing firmly and conquered them all without tarnishing our hearts as we go. If there's one person I would like to thank, it's the manager on Love, Nana," Guest chuckled at her quirks including Kim who was teary eyed staring at her.
"I wanna thank her coz if it wasn't for her, you won't be at Love, Nana and I wouldn't have met you. I remember the exact feeling when I first saw you, it was like the world had gone slow motion as you walked by, knocking the wind off my sail. Since then, you had my heart. I got the privilege to get to know you and it amazed me to see that beyond the intimidating and cold facade everyone sees, I saw a different Kim. Who I saw was the most kindhearted, the most genuine person I could ever meet. We may not have the best start and might have hurt each other at some point, but I'm glad it didn't tarnish our heart and stop from longing for each other."
"We might have let go of each other for a while, but through that course, I always had the faith in you that we'll still make it. With you, I found my confidant. I found a best friend, I found the best travel buddy, I found a perfect partner in crime. With you, I found serenity. I found haven that I run to whenever the world gets too much. I found my anchor that kept my world from getting adrift. I found unconditional love and always gets lost in our universe whenever I stare into your eyes. With you, I found my constant, I found home."
Kim was having a hard time holding her tears at bay. Her heart was beating with so much love and joy of finally finding her way back home. She was enraptured with the next page they are going to fill with memories of love and adventure.
