Ch 24. Shorty

The night was getting young but both of them are already settled snugly on each others arm. The stillness that surrounds them are undeniably something Kim has not been able to experience in a while ever since Becca's passing. It has always been a battle between her and the dead of night on how to survive the long stretch of hours all by herself. But this time, it's different, her mind was in a bliss despite of the silence around them and it definitely feels like home as she listen to the light breathing of Iris who's in a deep slumber after she made love to her.

The silence isn't deafening anymore.

With the white noise in the background, Kim could feel her exhaustion from their previous performance earlier and with the comfy hug they are in, she can feel herself slowly slipping and dosing into slumber.

Resting her cheeks on Iris' forehead and about to let sleep take her to the dreamland, Iris suddenly stirred from her hug making her eyes flutter open driving down her drowsiness.

"Bummy." Iris husked coarsely with her sleep coated voice getting the attention of Kim.

"Yes, my Mavy boo?" She looked down on the latter with her glassy sleepy eyes.

Iris looked up at her with a cute pout on her lips. "I'm hungry, bummy boo." Followed by a sigh.

Kim can't help but to chuckle on how adorable Iris look like with her predicament. "What do you wanna eat." She caressed the younger girl's cheeks that's still on a tight hug with her bare legs snaked on hers under the covers.

"I want chicken nuggets ng mcdo, bummy boo." She puckered her lips with her most puppy eyes that no one else could ever resist.

"How many pieces does my Mavy boo wants?" She asked coyly making the younger one smile as she easily get what she's craving for and instantly answered 12.

Good thing fast food operates 24 hours because Kim could not imagine herself prepping in the kitchen making a homemade nuggets. within those ungodly hours.

After placing the order of chicken nuggets that Iris wanted, they resumed on their position and stole little kisses while they wait for the food to arrive.

"Mavy," Kim called instantly getting Iris' attention who immediately looked up attentively.

"Hmm?" She hummed inquisitively.

"Will you call in sick tomo?" She watched as the latter thought of her answer. She was hoping that the younger one could come according to plan coz she already had her sister agree with the sudden trip.

"You wanna be with me the whole day?" Iris retorted with a teasing answer wearing a mischievous smile.

Kim chuckled and bopped Iris' nose making her eyes close in the process. "Of course given na yun. But I might have a plan of bringing you home to Nana."

Iris' eyes lit up upon hearing Kim's plan for tomorrow. There was a huge grin on her gorgeous lips that was so contagious.

"What time are we leaving?" Subtly implying that she'll be calling in sick tomorrow.

"Maybe around 7am. That's gonna be a perfect time coz alam ko how much you love the morning breeze." She said and kissed the tip of the doctor's nose.

Kim checked her phone for the updates of their order and saw it's roughly 10 minutes before the rider arrives so she grabbed her white button up and wore it to Iris who was getting dressed like a child.

"I'll go get the food, you wait for me you little nugget." Kim patted Iris' head and gave a quick peck on the lips before disappearing out the door of her room.
