It was past 5 in the afternoon when Iris had her last patient and that's the only time she felt her body screaming for rest. Today was a long day for her but because she loves what she's doing, it's the satisfaction and passion that's fueling her drive keeping her motivated on extending her service to the ones in need.
She closed her eyes taking a breather for a while. She just came from an 8 hour surgery and all she want to do is to go home and rest. By means of home, it was Kim who she craves for. The sense of longing when they're apart is starting to get into her but she knows that both of them have their careers to take care of so she took the perfume on her bag and sprayed once to pacify her yearning.
After some time, her mind drifted off and wandered. For the longest time, her brother has been convincing her to go and live with him in the UK since their parents are busy traveling to and fro with business and leisure in between. She's been living alone ever since before she started her residency and she's been used to it. There were times that she missed their presence and she can't help reliving the moments when their bond was really tight. Then she thought of the times that their father had brought them to places just to be with them while they were growing and now that they have ventured to their own career paths, their parents were confident enough to let go of them thinking they had given all they can in all aspects to survive in the real world.
She was so lost in her thoughts when her phone went off pulling her out from her musings.

After some exchange of messages, she resumed to her position and relaxed a bit thinking of ways to kill time while she wait for the business woman. Then she remembered that Louise had invited her for coffee but was not able to go last time. Thinking it's the best time to make up for it while she wait for Kim to come and get her, she decided to send a message to the other doctor since she's got no one to pester because Shelby is currently out of town attending some conference.
